I never see the point in showing them loads of work young I’ve seen loads of people working them like adults over the years being to keen to get them going there normally f****d by 3-4yrs of age when started to young there always seems to be problems with lack of retrieving, recall, hunting up or the basics required I don’t think there’s a problem with a drop of ferreting to nets with young dogs as you can use commands like sitting the dog or staying the dog in a position or blind stays also it gets the dog some live fur between its mouth without over taxing the dog excellent for confidents I th

Was speaking to a person that racing dogs this evening I asked them about bone radiol in our conversation if it needs watering down for running dogs they told me no they use it straight out the bottle on there dogs an have done for a number of years with a stiff brush an work it in very well to the area of damage only 3days on 3days off don’t plaster the dog in the stuff just keep it to the area that needs treatment they told me it’s a good product an they rate it ??

Ive never used one I think some can look quite smart though I see a picture of a nice one yesterday on a group I really liked the look of it but I’d never own one in f1 it’d drive me round the bend I recon I couldn’t imagine them being that fast though I don’t think my land would suit this cross one bit An I don’t think I’d suit the cross although liking a bit of herding dog in the mix some people have said they have the potential to be quite vocal as well I can see why with the cattle dog in the mix bet if I had one on my ground it’d sing it’s head off on the lamp when the going got tough wou

Mine stay till they meet there maker you return the loyalty that the dog as given you over the seasons with the great times an experiences they’ve given you. a comfy bed An bit of feed cost nowt for a hero that made it to retirement. dog shit Lurcher owns jack on there own dogs an try An kid people that there the real deal Lurcher men! that only keep workers but the real Lurcher men/women know different An wouldn’t dream of such matters as they know the dogs earned its comfort in retirement ain’t that part of the parcel of being a real Lurcher man??. For me it’s a verbal contract when I buy a

I can’t see that the feed skip day being of any use to a dog that’s actually worked once fat resources have gone it don’t take long in Lurchers or nearly gone the body will crave a substance to make energy and start breaking down muscle mass kind of counter productive

Don’t you think that once you’ve been to one there all the same

I’ve been to one country fair this year black neck thought I’d go to be honest they couldn’t be no more country orientated if they tryed full of town people who religiously watch country file over priced clothing an Indian,Turkish Chinese noodle foods I stuck to the running dog bit got in cheap ???give my young un her first go on the lure I favour just going to racing events I’m only there for the running dogs to keep my bitch in some kind of fitness an chat to a few people I know who use the racing for fitness

Nice looking little dog mate ??All the best
-
One man said it so it’s got to be true jackknife ??more than likely a guy who ain’t got a clue how to train what is basic requirements are so blames the type as it’s easily to blame a dog that can’t speak wonder how is dogs are at retrieving ?

Once a day 9pm every night for the 2 cripples if I’m taking the young un out she gets half her daily weight portion mid day then the other half after we’ve lamped but only done that the few trips she’s had so far but guessing it’ll all intake will need to be upped once the season gets under way properly
-
Bird I call bull shit on the bedlington x lack of recall if trained recall is as good as any dog I’ve trained 3 bedlington xs and collie xs now all have had a good recall the poorest was my old bedlington whippet
-
As dog shit as them extendable leads are they are ideal for the job of basic recall at a starting point they can be retracted far quicker than manual using of a long line they make sense if used properly by using one I don’t mean let the dog feck off to the full extent then try a recall so the dog charges about like a dickhead intangeling it’s self or burning hocks on the cord
-
Dogs are terrible for copying one another especially bad habits an what there doing is far more interesting than what your doing so they don’t see no point in recall back to you when called plus if it pissed you off there not coming back to you they feed of that energy.....you need to use the gay Batman voice no mater how much of a clown you feel useing it or get the treats on the go??Failing that give one of them leads that everyone hates a crack one of them expendable ones then a treat as a reward something like chicken or lamb or tin hot dog sausage give it a crack you have nothing to loose
-
Mate stick with it don’t jack on the dog before it’s even shown you it’s potential something I learned early on is there’s never the right time for nothing in life be it dogs starting a family or other hobbies you just have to find time An fit it all in an make do by doing so your find it all irons out fine in the end you think to your Sen why the feck was I worried about it in the first place

The mother to the pups on our land although not large numbers of rabbits about was regular 5 & 7s An the father to the pups was a good numbers dog the pup I kept that died I didn’t get chance to lamp as I was using her to ferret this one I’ve got now has had 3 trips across a little paddock her first outing 2 runs 1 catch second outing 5runs 2 catch last night 2runs 1 catch so don’t think that’s 2 bad for starting out a career plus I’ve not venture to far yet they seem to have real good trainability An be honest dogs that’s all I require -

Definitely mate I think it’s because there’s so much in there because I out cross to a bedlington greyhound it didn’t know what way to throw so the litter thrown all sorts I know with the dams line if I bred back in to the same line they would all throw typey pups that are pretty uniformed but I wanted a bit of terrier blood in there as I gel with that type better -
