  1. That’s my line bred bitch her line was started in 1985 from f1 collie/greyhound to a f1 deerhound greyhound then to a whippet greyhound on both sides of the family tree there all related all through to my bitch 5 gens on each side I out crossed my bitch to a bedlington greyhound to drop a hit of base blood back in there I’ve done 2 matings to the same stud I’ll be taking a dog pup out the best bitch from the first mating when she’s bred from to put back in to my bitch so it’ll be nephew to aunt breeding then see what happens from there
  2. So how far in to line breeding do you lot like to Out cross?
  3. Me to mate should be interesting there should be quite a few post I’m guessing buy the amount of input on the subject that was being put in be nice to see there dogs An how long the lines been going An how there bred
  4. I see on another post people talking about line breeding An how it should be done so let’s see some pictures of some of these line bred Lurchers (Lurchers only) it’d be nice to see some of these dogs these people are talking about
  5. I think All this talk of line breeding An how it should be done needs a separate post who’s game to start a post? on line bred Lurchers? An how to line breed can’t wait to see an read the post an see some of these line bred Lurchers ??
  6. Bedlington x greyhound or a mix of bedlington/greyhound x collie/greyhound
  7. I’m guessing when it’s breeding for your self it’s the same as buying a pup in your chances it’s all ways going to be 50/50 any way or even when you gift pups out it’s 50/50 that them people make anything of them pups but if you place 2pups with your self an say 2with 2seperat fellow dog men/women the chances are still 50/50 it’s all a short straw game
  8. There’d all be alright till someone mentioned something involving running dogs then they’d all be at it having a set to??
  9. Definitely a lengthy process mate
  10. Salt is sound mate I’ve every faith in the guy doing best by the pup he had off me he’s doing a good job I can’t wait to hear once the season starts how the dogs getting on
  11. Your sensible mate your no twat
  12. I understand culling pups in the nest...breed for what you need it’s never been more clearer to me why than my last litter were I had a couple of people what turned out complete twats have pups of me An do wrong by them never happening again!! will I’ve never practiced this my self but with half the idiots in the Lurcher game I can fully understand putting pups to sleep in the nest An running a couple on but I can’t see the point in culling at 10month old as any young dog is not matured enough to actually be tested at this age if there generation bred An there having to cull pups at 10month o
  13. Cheers mate her dam is a collie/greyhound x whippet greyhound with a small drop of deerhound way back An the sir is a bedlington x greyhound she only 23tts but should suit me well round my way
  14. Come on lads kindly fecking jog on! no one wants to see you bitching like school kids if you want to bitch to each other inbox one another or meet up for a straighter ffs
  15. Not a pup but a young bitch I bred that I’ll be starting this season
  16. Carrion an beans you can’t beat it people who do jacket spud an beans don’t know what there missing nothing better than Picking carrion from out your teeth
  17. Dogs usually take a little longer to mature an find there feet I’d bet your dog turns out the better dog being that little more thick set built an not a bad size bet once you start them working if your running the beam regularly your dog will hold up best for a nights lamping
  18. It’s very hit an miss type cross at the minute with people breeding for money an breeding from second rate dogs to do the cross for the coin. A family member used to use have 2 foxing bedlington x whippets they couldn’t of been no more than 18-19tts both single handed an regular takers of fox before the ban they were both quick killers of fox I think that’s what made me get one as I thought they were the dogs bollox an I couldn’t go wrong with this cross but I got the short straw
  19. I’ve a first cross bedlington x whippet she’s 10yrs old now she was never a good lamp bitch she made 17tts lol but a handy bushing an ferreting bitch but I’d can’t say I’d ever own another one again not even if some one gave me one being truthful as your so restricted plus on my land there just lacking pace I found them slow as hell plus everyone is at the peddling game of this cross it’s hard to find decent stuff I find the odds are more stacked against you than a f1 bedlington x greyhound At producing a dog with better chances of being half decent
  20. Every ones Intitled to there own opinion man it’d be a shit place if we all shared the same opinions an views don’t beat your self up over upsetting people that’s there problem not yours chap. I my self would find a bull x or a saluki cross completely waisted on me I don’t think there to much dog for me but I’d find my self to restricted in what I favour as I like a bit off ferreting/lamping/mooching i like the ready for any think type that I can just get out An do a bit with it’s definitely dogs for Jobs an all that I like the traditional type because there masters of none type without adver
  21. Ffs mate haha there not for me but I’ll sadly not be partaking in hostileness or insulting saluki owners let them crack on long as there enjoying there dogs An there chosen sport it’s happy days
