  1. Cheers mate her dam is a collie/greyhound x whippet greyhound with a small drop of deerhound way back An the sir is a bedlington x greyhound she only 23tts but should suit me well round my way
  2. Come on lads kindly fecking jog on! no one wants to see you bitching like school kids if you want to bitch to each other inbox one another or meet up for a straighter ffs
  3. Not a pup but a young bitch I bred that I’ll be starting this season
  4. Carrion an beans you can’t beat it people who do jacket spud an beans don’t know what there missing nothing better than Picking carrion from out your teeth
  5. Dogs usually take a little longer to mature an find there feet I’d bet your dog turns out the better dog being that little more thick set built an not a bad size bet once you start them working if your running the beam regularly your dog will hold up best for a nights lamping
  6. It’s very hit an miss type cross at the minute with people breeding for money an breeding from second rate dogs to do the cross for the coin. A family member used to use have 2 foxing bedlington x whippets they couldn’t of been no more than 18-19tts both single handed an regular takers of fox before the ban they were both quick killers of fox I think that’s what made me get one as I thought they were the dogs bollox an I couldn’t go wrong with this cross but I got the short straw
  7. I’ve a first cross bedlington x whippet she’s 10yrs old now she was never a good lamp bitch she made 17tts lol but a handy bushing an ferreting bitch but I’d can’t say I’d ever own another one again not even if some one gave me one being truthful as your so restricted plus on my land there just lacking pace I found them slow as hell plus everyone is at the peddling game of this cross it’s hard to find decent stuff I find the odds are more stacked against you than a f1 bedlington x greyhound At producing a dog with better chances of being half decent
  8. Every ones Intitled to there own opinion man it’d be a shit place if we all shared the same opinions an views don’t beat your self up over upsetting people that’s there problem not yours chap. I my self would find a bull x or a saluki cross completely waisted on me I don’t think there to much dog for me but I’d find my self to restricted in what I favour as I like a bit off ferreting/lamping/mooching i like the ready for any think type that I can just get out An do a bit with it’s definitely dogs for Jobs an all that I like the traditional type because there masters of none type without adver
  9. Ffs mate haha there not for me but I’ll sadly not be partaking in hostileness or insulting saluki owners let them crack on long as there enjoying there dogs An there chosen sport it’s happy days
  10. Come on lads play nice ffs this is not the school play ground were we have to start running peoples choices of Lurcher cross in to the ground at the end of the day it’s there choice in x they have they have to feed it an maintain it and put the work in front of it if there happy then it’s happy days ain’t it
  11. I was just interested to see some type bred dogs really as I see some people commenting an I thought they might have kept a line going as they only claim to keep good dogs surly as they give the impression of knowledge an knowing there beans there’d kept a line going. I don’t hate bull xs but there not my flavour I’d rather make use of a traditional tbh. I’ve seen some nice ones that I look at an think that’s a well put together animal I’ve seen a couple of good uns work but I take me hat off to the guys that run them
  12. how many people have kept a line going out of these super dogs of yesteryear that still have the blood line today today?
  13. Never fully a way but low in numbers on the people that had interest in the xs or types I think it’s nice to see more of the traditional type Lurcher as I really favour the type over modern day stuff.
  14. I still occasionally use a laser lite converted to blaze lite tough as old boots little lamp there good as they’ve got the little walking dim beam ??
  15. Mate I think you’ve miss read my original post no one was asking what’s the best collie or bedlington Lurcher or who owns the best it was just stating that what I’ve noticed that the 2 crosses mentioned that it looks like there slowly making a comeback then you start going all yesteryear on us lol giving us I’ve owned the best seen the best no one else owns good dogs but me because I’ve not seen them my standards are higher than yours all while doing 7days 7nights a week work while riding 5 miles a day to keep your dogs fit so the can do back flips over 5bar gates on us......we get it mate you
  16. We know of a few bedlington greyhounds that were on the numbers crack and a few that still are don’t we northern ??
  17. Raw all the time if you know what your doing As already mentioned a dogs body is designed for raw feeding even if the food is past it’s best.i can understand there being problems with bacteria if your feeding raw in your kitchen off the floor were young kids/baby’s are crawling about but saying that that’s on the owner for being a lazy git for not disinfecting properly after feeding if in this position look at it like this you’ve just cut some chicken breast up for your dinner using a chopping board what do you do with the chopping bord after use to stop the spreading of bacteria to your self
  18. Sounds as though you got a short straw mate I’ve been there in the past with a bedlington x whippet f1 bred from worker to worker the bedlington used was a decent size An the whippet was 21tts I ended up with a 17tts half cross complete shit on the lamp due to being small an slow but let my hart rule over head hung on to her just for ferreting an bushing she turned in to a really good bitch for nocking about with but I’d never have another to be fair as they don’t suit my needs or do I feel the need to be that restricted. I’ve seen a few decent bedlington x greyhounds in my time that were good
