  3. Having searched through all my stuff for a couple of graph`s that i did on a string of shots i found they were for my old S410k (unregged ) . But i did find a post of mine on another site that indicated that the spread over 60 shots was only 8fps . Cant really say more than that sorry . Buster
  4. HW 100 Improvements The main culprit: The breech block is sealed with a large 12x1.2 O-ring. For some reason HW have opted for a crush installation. The O-ring is pinched between breech block and action acting like a gasket seal, however, this prevents the two parts from mating properly and also allows some movement. This is perhaps only a couple of thou, but it's enough to cause problems, e.g. loose barrels (made worse by excess oil) sticking magazines and slow leaks. The O-ring is effectively destroyed upon assembly. Hans Weihrauch made a comment regarding an O-ring that always n

  7. I have the S410 in .177 . I fill to 210 and get 110 shots per fill . My gun has been regulated , this is why i can fillit to 210 , and also why the shot count is as high as it is . Buster .
  8. When you say that do you mean its `Pre Anti Tamper ` ,or does it actually have the power adjuster knob on the side ?
  9. Second hand is generally 2/3`s of the original price , that is if its in VGC . I think that £650-£700 for a second hand rig is something that your just not going to get . The gun would be about £350 - £400 and the bottle £ .... Depends on alot really , but realistically £450 - £500 would be closer to the price you can expect .
  10. WD40 ......... You throw caution to the wind , you reckless lunatic
  11. Nothing worng in getting the right advise , best thing to do , if your unsure ask .
  12. Only worth doing , if you do it right . I generally give em a light swill , with a drop of washing up luqid in warm water . After a few swirl`s a rinse with warm water , pat em dry and leave em overnight to dry on a clean tea towel . Next day , i place em in a plastic bag ( the snap top thingy`s ) with a few drops of lube in the bag . Placed on a table top i give em a gentle roll about untill they are all covered an a coating of lube . I empty these , again onto a tea towel to dry off over night and place em back in a cleaned tin . I have noticed an improvement , give it a try S
  13. When you fill from a bottle , the guage on the bottle wil show you how much is in the gun . IF IT READS 170 THATS HOW MUCH IS IN THE GUN !!!!!!! If you imagine the `reg` as a tiny cylinder inside the main cylinder , the guage will show you the pressure contained inside `reg` . It works like that so when the reg releases the air its always the same pressure , so you get consistent shots . Buster
  14. No point , just come on here instead .........
  15. Right . My Regulated S410 has a recomended fill pressure of 210 . This means when i fill it , the guage on the bottle is my guide and i stop at 210 , simple . You will always go from your bottle`s guage , as gun gueages are a bit vuage to say the least , but ok for an indication of where you are . A regulated gun will only show an amount that its set to , IE , mine is ALWAYS 110 , this flickers very slightly when i pull the trigger but settles back at 110 . 18. Hope all party`s concerned realise how bad this look`s on the airgun section . This place had the reputation for being the best section on the forum , and probably one of the best on the net ...... Now its been brought down with scant disregard for other members , and its decended into a farce .....
  19. Thanks for the vote of confidence Ste , its appreciated
  20. Personally i would`nt use it as moisture has a tendancy to get underneath it . This can go un-detected and cause havoc on the action .
