You would`nt give it cooked chicken bones would you ? Cooked bones splinter just take the head off ( i presume it was a head shot rabbit ) and your fine . Oh and gut it as well .
I cant say as i dont shoot FAC , BUT , i presume you will spend some time to get to grips with the gun and get the `feel` for it . That will give you plenty of time to work out where you can get your pellets , and what range your comfortable at . I shoot an S410 in .177 and can easily take rabbits up to 60yds and still get the placement i require .
The S410 Xtra is the highest powered gun in the Air Arms range. Producing 30-35ftlb (41-47joules) in .22 there is plenty of power for most air rifle applications. Depending on the pellet used velocities of 1000ft/sec in .22 (5.5mm) and 1100ft/sec
Can i ask what bearing ` Whats got more Power ? `has on a decision to buy a six year old an air rifle ? I think that question shows a level of ignorance to shooting , and i would not advise you to buy one at all .
Yes , i do . They are supremely accurate providing you find the right one for your gun .Personally its the small size that suit me .I have found nothing that groups like these ,and despite some people saying they become unstable over 40 yds , i find them fine . I took this rabbit last night with them @ 56yds .
