    I remember learning to read a compass etc in beavers, cubs and scouts. But there's been a lot of time, drugs and beer happened between then and now lol ? lucky if I can find the village shop first time around these days

    Is there a certain time of year that's best to catch them? I chucked a trap in the river when I first moved up here in March, but caught nothing for 3 days straight, so lifted the trap. Is it worth me dropping it again now do you think? What bait you using socks?

    Forgot to say, 4 bolts and 2 people can lift it off and I can have my lawn mower trailer back if I ever need it again lol

    New hen house made from old pallets, just need to felt the roof and find me a few hens! lol the door slides with a lever at back of the coop and the nest boxes should hold 4 each side easy I think? So if anybody near Lanark has a few birds for sale let me no

    I've got 3 big gas cylinders ready to be made into something lol, got firebrick left over from the pizza oven and im sure I can scrounge some superwool from work just need to get some bits together to make the burners and I'm gonna go for it I think! Cheers lads

    You make it yaself? Seen a few plans for em an loads of different designs on a group on fb . Lots yanks make em out gas bottles. I think it is. I'll have a look again later I stopped having sneaky peeks as it was annoying me hahai probably will mate lol, made a brake drum forge a couple year ago and that's when I decided I wanted a proper one! No neighbours now so hammering into the night isn't a problem just can't decide on gas or coal? I'd build a coal one but probably blow myself up making a gas one? Also can't believe the price of anvils!!!!

    Has anybody used the gas forges? I'm seriously thinking of getting one, what's the pro's and cons against a coal forge?

    How many of you lads actually forge your blades? Or is it mainly stock removal, shaping, hardening and finishing? I know midnight used to do a few of his own Demascus etc not knocking anybody just interested, I no anytime at a grinder is a long time lol

    Do they need to be kept in a cabinet? I don't need a licence untill my next sgc renewal and I'm still waiting for my visit from the Feo to check my cabinet, I was going to ask then but I've been waiting for the visit for 4 1/2 months lol but basically it's a pain in the arse walking from the living room to the gun cabinet when a Swirrels chewing my bird feeders or a magpies trying to eat the pheasant chicks in the garden! Probably a 5 minute process to get the airgun out and would rather keep it handy? But I'm not sure on the legality of it? Cheers ant

    If they were anything like the breed I kept (soay) if you showed them a dog they would scatter to the four winds and regroup after! They did not flock together like commercial sheep! Right pain in the arse they were lolahhh don't mention soays!!! I've managed to palm mine of on a farmer friend for free and he thought they were cool to starts with, now he swears ALOT! Lol LOL imagine 150 of the buggers drove me insane!150! You poor man lol I only had 10 ha ha that was enough

    I had some stone to shift so dicided that a wheel barrow wasn't gonna cut it, made with materials left over from other projects and a couple of spare barrow wheels I got from Aldi last year I think lol took about 2 hours but cost nowt really.

    Whenever I'm not at work I'm with my dogs these days, don't go to pub or anything anymore just work and home with the odd trip to the builders merchants lol mine live in the house with us so if I'm in there in and if I'm outside they're outside

    Yes mate, very good. Gave a presentation at a conference in OKC and then jumped over to NYC for a few days. Did all the sights and had a good mooch around. 911 memorial and museum, liberty and Ellis island, times square, empire state etc etc.Did Bass pro for the first time too in OKC. f***ing unreal! Maybe post some pics of that later. If you don't mind me asking what was your presentation aboutJust a nuclear processing paper I co-authored at an oil industry conference. Difficult to explain. Sounds a lot more impressive than it was.any chance of read born? Or point me in the direction of wher
