  2. ive never really needed needed the iodine when its come to pups, but its always there just in case, i aways put a dab on their tail after they've been docked, guess old habits die hard! lol anything with antiseptic propertys is useful to keep in your emergency kitt, guess iodine was just the traditional offering !
  3. wouldnt take this lot serious! west of irelands friendly enough as is parts of the north + donegal.... ya have ta remember the hunting crowd are grouchy b*****ds at the best of times! failing that, ive heard good things about the welsh as a people, heard many great things about their hospitality

  7. ha! we share the same hobby! Had a 7 week old terrier pup eat a live wasp the other day and she swelled up. Gave her 1/2 a piriton tab and she was ok after 1/2 hour. We always keep piriton tabs/liquid in the house/car for kids and dogs me too, hate wasps+ flys its all out war on them at my house due to us being next to woods + cattle too!

  13. its same with working dogs as it is with gamefowl, i meet folks at a non-dog owning mates farm or in a carpark or at a show. aint safe doing it any other way these days!

  20. mine (just for rabbits) is my pet-turned bushing terrier, parson type bitch, saying that her parents were workers so i shouldnt be too surprised! i picked up a hound x jrt pup there a month back to learn the job if hes able for it, hes a fat little thing at 4mths but is starting to use his nose when hes out with us, just wish he'd show a bit more of an independant streak!
