  1. 2.2 hectares isnt much, barely enough to keep a horse on, be nice as a holiday home but you'd still cross paths with other hunters, tourists and fishermen not to mention neighbours, be nice as a holiday home though id rather build a big wall around 70acres and stock it with additional deer and gamebirds and still have fishing as well as the privacy it provides. tell ya what, if i ever win the lotto, i'll buy it and you can mind the place for the 10-11mths of the year i wouldnt be there!!!

  11. any pics? ballinasloe horse fair is on beginning of october and a lot of dogs that are stolen in both the uk and ireland are sold there, 5 huskys that were stolen in the uk were recovered by an garda (irish cops) there last year.
  12. glad we dont have them round these parts! sound like you need to stockproof the fences as if they were for deer when it comes to galloways, know what you felt like had to catch a few mental cattle in the past, never had a calf that wild though
  13. Ive seen a Freisian bull throw a grown man about the parlour to within an inch of his life, wouldn't call them docile. General rule of thumb is don't trust ANY of them, no matter how docile you think they are or are of a certain breed. Know a few farmers who would agree with me on that one. FTB talking about cows not bulls. previous posts ive put up in this topic voice my opinion on them...... never said anything about trusting them either. they aint pets. and there not mans best friend either.
  14. not really, wouldnt have any qualms about mixing certain breeds. people have become vey snobbish in recent times.
  15. luckily we dont have galloways round these parts, we do have shorthorns but most round here are crossbred those galoways;- are they the ones that have markings like saddleback pigs?
  16. thats cos you "imagined" that you gave them to me! just like you imagined that you were tall dark, handsome with a full head of hair
  17. All fresian bulls i've had dealings with are all ba****ds. The worst cows have to be charolais's imo charlaois are gentle giants not known a bad purebred one yet, not had any dealings with freisian bulls as most dairys round my way use AI but most freisian cows ive had dealings with were docile.
  18. depends, on average 3 times before the homicidal tendancies kick in................. :secret:
