  1. Could have at least had your top off,, Thats what my Mrs would have said
  2. 11.5lb treecreeper? Nice markings on him regardless.
  3. Nice write up Smithie. Its a timeless classic told every summer, with varying endings I tell the winter version of going up the leeds and liverpool canal on every boxing day with 3 brothers and after smashing a hole in the ice to test out the new kit we got. It always ended in a cold blank, with the two twins threatening to kick shit out of each other and throw each others gear in... Oh the good old days..
  4. See, funny aint it. I`d have said that was defo a 20.
  5. Err, I thought it was a mole problem? Dont look at me, Ive never been near a mound... Just what I hear..
  6. I think mole trapping is like tattooing and tattooists, no one is really keen to fix other peoples f**k ups, especially for favours.. Its also nature of the beast for monkey see, monkey do, and moley`s arent big on that either. Hopefully someone will help you out.
  7. 12.4 Hooked in the eye socket after taking a skimmer that didnt register on the delkims on a boilie for carp. With having such a weird hook hold it felt like a train, just couldnt turn it , Like you say Ant, gutted when the scales came out as it was my biggest pike to date at the time.
  8. It definitely make a non believer out of you owning a reliable set of scales. Especially if you see a cheap set in the anglers bag. Once you get your eye in and handled a few fish, its usually not far off. Its not just pike that can be deceiving.
  9. Good luck to both of you. Toxo, let us know how it goes bud.
  10. OK then, whats does this weigh? Its was weighed on Ruby heaton scales so was accurate as.. We`ve had some corking fishermans tales on here.. Makes me wonder if anyone owns a decent set of scales, and I dont mean argos sheakspeares lol.
  11. Ive just fed my lot a whole intact chicken, 2 and a half days, 6 ferrets and it looks like it was dipped in a piranha pond. All that was left was a skeleton with feet and the first few primary feathers.
  12. Lol, the central body and spiny legs gave it away.. Mad shit down in the depths..
  13. Looks like a fancy starfish
  14. Most importantly, get out with someone who will show you how to un hook one. Jack pike are nothing, you wait till you land a deep hooked big b*****d.
  15. Tackle one of each up. See whats working and if its fast and furious, drop a rod. Ive had more success on the bottom with dead baits, its always been murky water though. Cant beat a bit of live baiting, try that first before they ban that too..
  16. How are you gonna fish for them? No point telling you a carp set up will do with 15lb line if your gonna go spinning for them.. Hard work spinning with a carp set up, but would be fine for some dead baiting or live baiting. Tackle wise, its best to check venue rules otherwise trebles and trace will do just fine.
  17. What I was trying to say was, its the same every hancock thread. You get the people who dont like them and you get the people who keep them/kept them. Its always the same people every time. As far as I`m aware, we as a forum havent had a surge of hancock owners join, so its gonna be the same people as the last thread...
  18. Check the previous hancock threads. Both sides of the story are always told. Some do, some dont. Simple.
  19. No, just the misc section... Still.
  20. Correct. It would make a good companion for a solitary jill though, wont help with bringing her out, but you wont have kits everywhere. He could be a good worker?
  21. Looks more like the hamburgler. When you said black man, I was looking for the glow in the dark smile.
