    Not having ago mate but what do you expect at 12 month.WE read this kind of thing every week.People entering dogs far to young.Why cant they wait put in the time and do it properly.Most times the end result turns out better. What he said. At 12 months old it's still a pup. Wait until it's nearer 2yrs old so it's balls have fully dropped

    What he said, and only do no more than 5 retrieves per session 3 times per week or the pup will get bored. Imo

    I think I read some where that husky blood was introduced to the picardy to beef it up a bit, cuz the breed was getting rather weak.

    There was a litter of Man terriers x Whippets on one of the ad sites last week. Give it a Google it should come up.

    Hi, I've got a Beddy x Whippet bitch, 15 months old, she's a little cracker and we've got a good bond. Trouble is I'm at work all day so she's on own in the kennel. She gets 3 good walks a day , but she must stay outside cuz my youngest daughter has an allergy to dogs. I've now got the chance to get a 3 month old pup, my bitches brother from a later litter. I think they should get along being dog and bitch and of the same blood. Should I let sleeping dogs lie, or get her a companion?

    apart from the half cross they are all lurcher to lurcher :blink: Strictly speaking 2.and 3. are Lurcher x Longdogs.

    Well done mate. I've got a Beddy x Whippet bitch ready for her 1st season, but I've also heard that they come into their own during their 2nd season. You gonna use him on anything else other than rabbits?
