  2. rip linda you will be sadly missed hard act to follow with the work you put in for lurchers in general .
  3. can see where your coming from with lurcher to lurcher but and its a big but work out how many of the lurcher to lurcher saluki type are bred in a year. thousands and only the odd one or two make it as really top class .compare it to how many genuine first cross are bred in a year not many at all in fact they are quite rare so you can never compare them on a fair percentage wise .and lets be honest boys cos ive seen it myself over the years a lot of saluki x saluki crosses are useless and dont make it same as any other cross of lurcher.
  4. i have just bred a litter of first crosses all sold within 24 hrs of advert coming out some to very well known coursing men so they obviously know something that the ones knocking them dont .also one wemt to a gamekeeper for allround work biglicks and his dad had one years ago that was top class and as good as they have had his words.so that tells me they must have something going for them.the pup i have kept for myself will hopefully meake a real un .WHY because it will be entered slowly with patience and when starting only put on something i know it should catch and when started will have a

  6. austin a35 every time you slammed the front door the window fell on your lap.
  7. imo its up to the owner of the stud what he wants to charge and if you think its to much go elswhere simple. a good guide is as a lot say price of pup. but its the owner of the dogs choice to charge what he likes.
  8. only 3 pups left now out of 10 2 dogs and a bitch .
  9. if i get anymore spending hours trying to chip the price then saying their on the way and dont turn up i will go up the wall myself grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
  10. was in to the mountain biking big time up to 8 or 9 years ago rode the red bull and karrimor trails at dolgelli unbeilevable climb to get to the top but awsome downhill real adrenaline ride mountain biking is really great sport excersice and out in the wilds cant beat it but my false hip and gammy knees aint up to it anymore . mores the pity.
  11. hunted my lurchers over most parts of the country and the only part they didnt really need to be able to jump was up on the fens in my opinion jumping is a mustin a lurcher. nothing worse than a lurcher whining because it cant get over a obstacle or having to lift a big lurcher up and over something looks real amaterish.
  12. cheers folks the one with the wide white collar is a bitch sold to a member on here .
  13. cheers boys tbh not that worried half the litter are allready sold some were ordered before they were born and a nice advert coming out in c weekly next week.

  16. my litter of genuine first cross saluki greyhounds are 5 weeks old on sunday dam my own greyhound bitch fawn 25tts old fashioned heavy boned greyhound who ran over 2 4 and 6 bends for me always in top heat or opens a very very gutsy and biddable greyhound bred from one of the top australian studs that had terrific early pace. sire tony burns full saluki sonny a very very fast full saluki that has been matched many times this year against full salukis and saluki crosses.bred directly from deacon and kizzie lines this is the same sire as billy gouldings litter in this weeks countrymans weekly
  17. i hope their ok cos i got a litter of 10 here 5 weeks old seriously though in my experience they make good dogs on long ears or good allrounders depending what you put in to them as pups but that goes for all crosses imo.
  18. remember back in the late seventies lamping where we shouldnt have been and it was like w .w .3 broke out apparently someone had been rustling sheep there a few nights before and we took the brunt of it got away by the skin of our teeth that night and didnt go back for quite a while.
  19. might be hard as nails but sounds a liabilaty to me . dogs like that aint worth a light .no good to anybody other than the chavs that like to hold them on a lead and let people think how hard their dog is .
  20. billy got someone coming up to hopefully put it on here
  21. in the c weekly this week billy goulding has a litter of pups for sale the sire of his litter is the same as my pups on here.this dog is really some dog and will be a top name in the coursing world in the next year or two
  22. had a hour on the lamp with p***y poacher and the bitch i went to see did everything it said it would i didnt end up owning it but tidy lad who i had to force petrol money on and even then wouldnt take all of it only met once but genuine lad .
  23. ive probally lamped more cow pats than anybody on here. also had a bitch knock her tooth out going in on a squatter the reason it was so still was it was a big brick. my mate once ran a certain something and it wasnt what he thought it was. a goat had got out and was wandering on some rough ground .lee c on here knows who i am on about. .
  24. had a lurcher with half a tail after getting it caught up in chicken wire one night never made the slightest differance in her work or turning also had a greyhound with a stump who flew round the bends same as if he had a full tail . in my opinion its a old wives tail no pun intended lol.
