  1. Yer mate i'm very very miserable as well! Just ask my girlfriend! And a total b*****d, just ask the bunnies I feel we have reached a new high point in our relationship though I do really, really like the dark poleys though and those are two excellent specimens! :tongue4: Where abouts in Wales are you and will you have any kits come spring? PM me if you like. P.s - i just found these new faces so i'm making full use!
  2. I love the second photo with the kids holding the leads . . . . a good quality family day out! The labour government would have a heart attack. . . . . and just imagine if their teacher asked 'what did you do on the weekend'. Quality - keep up the good work! Jai.
  3. Frank . . . . you can move into the tree house with me that i plan to build in that tree, on that hill!
  4. I wasn't offended! Just had this question on here A LOT! My dad didnt use one his whole life, and i grew up not using one . . . . and then they were invented and i still didnt use one . . . . and then i saw one used, and now both Dad and I use them. Its just a another handy tool in the bag. And i'm really attached to my ferrets! atb Jai.
  5. Traditionally they used to snap off a ferrets eye teeth to stop them killing in and fed ferrets milk and bread slop. They also thought the world was flat. Times have changed my friend. I dont like the craze of whipping the bright orange beeping box at the drop of a hat either, but when you have decided enough is enough and go rattle your keys to get the ferrets to come out, what would be the difference in getting the locator out of the bag and using that, that way you would get the ferret and the rabbit its just killed or the six stuck in the stop end (it really happens). I'm not impat
  6. If you don't like quality working polecat ferrets, without genetic health problems, don't look at em. Simples. Can you read? Where exactly did i say that i didnt like 'quality working polecat ferrets, without genetic problems'? I mean i keep them, so that would be a bit silly wouldn't it. No . . . . . i mean obviously i've got a thing for pink ferrets riddled with genetic problems . . . . their just more fun The point i was making was that 'wanting to see different color ferrets in order to decide what color you want' isnt really the way to pick ferrets. I mean, we all have some
  7. . . . . . .and cos it looks like he killed someone . . . .
  8. This dude didnt get done for walking his dog from the car he got done because he was doing it in a stupid place.
  9. I've learnt two things today a) Watership down is a real place and It really is full of rabbits. For me the world is a slightly better place, i've always thought of watership down as a kind of heaven where good ferrets go when they die. . . .
  10. I know your concerns matey. I have a young Jill that just did her first season and shes a real player, when shes out in my cabin she runs about, jumps at my leg, chatters, gnashes her jaws, bites anything she can (playfully) and generally acts the fool, she does it a lot more than my other ferrets and for a while i thought maybe she had a screw loose. However to date she has NEVER done anything like this when out working, she goes straight down, clears the set and then pops back up and comes to find me. Most ferrets will play like fools when its play time but their natural curiosity will l
  11. Yay - another thread about ferret colors. Just make sure you get one that matches your ferreting outfit. Wouldn't want the lads taking the piss outta you for clashing with your ferret . . . . I have personally stated dying my ferrets red as i have found that it makes the rabits think they are facing a micro fox and bolt really quick. . . . .
  12. I aquired another 2 jills recently who had mainly or only been fed dry food for a couple of years. At first they were not interested in raw meat even though they (and one in particular) work very well, hunting through the sets and bullying out anything that wont bolt. . . . drop a live rabbit in fron of them and they go wild but drop a dead one and they wander off. For a couple of days i cut their dried food right down to the bare minimum and hung half a big juicy rabbit in their cage. Day one they ate all the dry and nothing else. By the end of day to - a third of the rabbit was missing.
  13. Out of interest why do you want a white dog? atb Jai.
  14. The good thing about letting retarded people post on here is it allows the rest of us to feel better about our selves. The problem is that there ARE a lot of retards and there are also a lot of nice enough people who ask stupid question / make stupid comments. However the purpose of this forum as well as to discuss is also to learn and teach and so blocking those who are not experienced out doesn't help. What would help is if everyone who had a gripe about what someone has posted just hit the report button (allowing the tread to be removed) rather than engaging in pages and pages of argum
  15. She looks like some one gave her a punch in both eyes. My wee jill has the same . . . . and my mates albino hob has a lot of that color round his face. They are like people, all a wee bit different. atb Jai.
  16. Depends . . . . wouldn't be able to make the decision unless i knew the dog and owner. Instinctively i want to say 'not in a million years' but i have seen some good dogs, with good breeding jack in the hands of some proper idiots (to be fair the dogs had more brain than they did). They were just entered badly and run badly, fed and cared for badly.. . . . . with a different owner they may come on a treat. Actually i think i have answered my own question. No, i wouldn't, probably not worth the risk, you shouldnt be breeding that often, so when you do you should always look around for the b
  17. Ferreting the estate (need to do pest control out of the shooting season), lots and lots and lots of fly fishing, training kits, training dogs, bit of lamping, shoot some pigeons and squirrels . . . . . atb Jai.
  18. Hey! Sorry i misread what you wrote. . . . very tired! I am aware that ferrets can suffer from sight and hearing problems, and that this is much more common in Albinos that Polecats, however this is not necessarily true of all albino marked ferrets it just occurs most commonly in albinos. I thought you said that the coloring of an albino was a genetic problem, when it is just a trait in which the ferrets coat lacks pigmentation. atb Jai.
  19. Depends what you consider a genetic problem. I'm not sure if melenism is a genetic problem or rather just a genetic trait . . . .
  20. i've just had thought if i go and buy a black rabbit and release it i wonder if the wife will f*ck off atb tj
  21. Round and round and round it goes!
  22. Our two are pretty fit and fast - i think they are just over a foot and a half in length and weigh about 2-2.5 pounds. atb Jai.
  23. Either way . . . not exactly subtle. Someone wants their head read. There is a difference between ignoring the ban and flaunting the ban, the latter is pointless and damaging to what we do . . .
