  1. Cheers for that moley, i must be a TERRIBLE air gunner, as i regularly fire into fields, barns, hedges. . . . . And many a time i've had to offer the coup-de-gras , if you shoot enough than it's nigh on impossible to kill everything with the first shot. As unpleasant as it is, it's reality. Today i shot 5 different pest species, varying numbers of each, and one crow needed another shot to finish it off quickly.
  2. Hello All, Can some one please explain what the initial whoha was about? On the topic of this section being a little bit weird, well, there are worse places. The only two things which i do think are a bit weird are firstly the way that SOME members genuinely seem to think they are military scout/snipers deep behind enemy lines, when they are out popping a couple of bunnies with an air-gun. And secondly.. .. . .. .. THAT WAS 100% A FECKING RABBIT AND NOT A HARE :tongue2:
  3. All of my ferrets are 'E.U', last time i checked Wales was a member.
  4. Glad she is back mate. Dog theft is high everywhere, it's just there are a lot of running dogs about the valleys. Just a point on the rest. Those lads who came up and said your dog had gone missing, well, it's llan, within an hour or less everyone would have known, it dont mean that they are involved, but the world was put about all the dog lads in the village to keep and eye out. As for folk looking dodgy, well it's the valleys, to an outsider most folk probably look dodgy. You sure she couldnt have got out through the door by herself and gone for a wander? Apparently she was havi
  5. What was the story mate? PM if you like?
  6. Seen that choc dog in the flesh, and he's one of the best looking bull x's i've seen.
  7. Cheers matey. And true words mate. She's got some lungs on her I think if she stays wary as she grows, she'd make most folk think twice.
  8. Cheers guys! Aye, she's shot up, and i'd say at this point she's pretty much bull/grey and little else (maybe a bit of whippet). And judging by the way she looks, sounds and acts she's got a decent slab of bull in here. Fairplay to her as well, considering how she was found and the start she had in life, she's got a great temperament to her, really affectionate and extremely obedient, but is wary of strangers so lets everyone know when anyone comes anywhere near the place. We shall see what the future holds her, but she's showing good signs, starting to hunt up a bit and chase.
  9. Good nose, good brains, methodical, watches whats going on and other dogs, listens, good knowledge of the ground, good feet and jacket (round here), good initial pace and reflexes, good prey drive and the ability to work out of sight and away with no commands.
  10. I thought it would. It might also explain why I've been able to observe my litters much more closely. WHh would you be able to observe your litters much more closely due to being American?
  11. That's really fecking shitty mate. Doubt it;s anyone from llan as it's a bit small to be wandering round with a stolen dog. Those of the nomadic persuasion perhaps???
  12. Get some bones into it, and lamb necks, ribs, chicken carcasses, and the rest, feed that on top of a dry food base and he'll fill right out Aye and don't be buying wormers off the vets they will rip you off terrible.
  13. Aye, i got a litter that were born on the 19th May, and they have only started having a mooch about the next box in the last couple of days and have not shown in the main run yet.
  14. I'm in the US and have been breeding 1-2 litters a year since 1999. I got my first hybrids in 2004. I wish I had the opportunity to work these two captive bred polecats, as they both show every indication that they would be good workers, ie, strong hunting instincts and excellent temperaments. They both come when they're called and have never shown any inclination to bite or nip. I imported them last fall at a year and a half old. The first four words explain.
  15. How come you are breeding so many ferrets, and hybrids? Have you worked the two captive bred poleys that you have bred this litter from???? Just curious.
  16. Sounds like you had a good day, and it's always nice to be out. Thing with not using a collar at this time of year, is it's easy to lose a ferret that comes up under cover and goes for a wander. Also anything you bolt and miss holes, is gonna be harder to bolt next time. Apart from that, it's just the digging and the cover that's an issue. But if needs must and your enjoying it, crack on.
  17. You don't need to be killing shit to go out with the dog, why do people always try to make out if your not summer hunting your dogs spend months in a pen.
  18. Fair enough, but next time just try saying that. Like "hey dan nice bunch of kids, glad to see they are with the dogs and not with the X-Box" I just didnt get "they look like they could chew paint off the walls" and the Dark alley comment. Dan right now it looks like a good time to take that Hotblood out on W.T's is around 8-15 to 8-22. Daddy needs a new 50"flat screen! I think the dark alley thing is lost in translation mate, it's a very common saying here meaning the kid/person/dog looks hard/tough/able to handle themselves. And the chew paint off walls, is like "could eat
  19. Whats with all this law/courts = justice thing? It's a 'legal' system, based upon many things but usually not whether someone is 'right' or 'wrong'. I.e You can stick someone away for a loooong time for selling a shit ton of weed, but someone who rapes someone else can get away with a few years. Its subverted by money and 'technicalities'. There are nice, law abiding folk who make their living from getting scum off with shit. Anyone who thinks the system works for the individual person in the street is a naive mug.
  20. Martin magik - so your going to arm the nutters and the scum? Not a wise idea. The problem we have in this country is that we have a 'legal system' and not a 'justice system'.
