  1. I don't know, after having one, you kind of feel you do.
  2. Sounds like you got a pretty good set up for a dog in many ways mate, but as said, do some more research into what you actually like / want / enjoy being around and see whats for you before jumping into buying a dog.
  3. It's about ratios more than numbers.
  4. I'll stick a vote in for collie/grey and whippet. But in reality, just find a litter being bred out of two cracking ferreting dogs.
  5. Calm??? Other thing is , getting a pup, can you put in the time early on, as you can't leave a pup a lone in a flat all day, ir needs feeding an walks during the day a number of times, let alone the negative psychological aspect. All I meant was, if space is an issue and he can give it enough exercise, a whippet would be calm around the flat. If he's working all day and leaving it indoors it doesn't make any different if it's a flat or a house surely? that's an entirely different issue. If he's working a normal working day, i.e. 9 to 5, and takes it for a decent long walk before and
  6. Also depends where you are, it's ok having all the time in the world to play with, but it's not much use if there is feck all game about, and you have no transport. A lot of the best dogs you see about (and best 'dogmen') are/were blessed with a lot of game to go at, and as such get more experience in less time, and when you hitting stuff right, left and centre i guess it breeds a kind of obsession.
  7. Never been keen on eating the flesh of flesh eaters, especially carrion animals. But each to their own.

  9. Need A LOT more info. I.e - do you work? will it be shut in the flat all day? What kind of hunting? What kind of land? To be honest if at the moment you just want 'any hunting animal' then i think you need to go away and do a lot more thinking and research about what you ACTUALLY WANT, rather than getting something cos it fits in your flat.
  10. It's the collie in em. haha. Seen some collies take some terrible knocks from stock and get back up and keep working, remember seeing my old collie bitch get picked up, smashed into and pinned to a metal gate, by a ram, then get up and move on.
  11. That is a brilliant photo. Thing about camo clothing, is, most folk just wear it cos its har wearing, washable etc etc etc, don't show up stains, muck etc. Cos you tell me where cammo plays any kind of concealment role in ferreting? Lamping? Coursing? Digging?
  12. Shouldn't that be "too"? No.
  13. Trust me, she'll be more pissed off about the bras.
  14. Jill kit. Mum. Hob kit. Dad. Well, here's hoping anyway!
  15. too much raw meat not good???? WHAT?? Can't JUST feed dogs raw meet and bone. thought we were on about ferrets?? AYe, he mentioned dogs as well, so either he meant them or he's mental, but i cant be arsed to tell him.

  18. O yer. . . .ah well . . . i try.
  19. Being part of the gentry like yourself young fella you can spot them imitators a mile off. Exactly! Secret handshake and all that! You've never seen Henry dressed as "Lord Henry" have you? And he looks like a tramp the rest of the time. No I haven't mate it's all I can take doing a bit of ferreting with Little Lord Fontleroy. Just cos i can speak proper like. Can't be that posh, i keep a pack of ferrets. I also think i can slightly lower in the pecking order than our horse riding, hunt following, sherry sipping side kick. haha.
  20. I've also been wondering why you would call yourself Mogadon? Which is another name for Nitrazepam. Just out of interest?

  23. I understand mate, i just hate knowing i'm leaving dead bunnies behind.
  24. 2 very odd things - Using a pop band popular with 8-11 yr olds to market condoms. and rob using the term "gay lords", which i don't think i have heard since primary school.
  25. Shit stirrer, and not as smart as he is trying to sound, you can always tell by the desperation to appear so.
