  1. The guy you were speaking to is a cretin.
  2. Is it not a little unfair / biased to have it only on the air rifle section and only voted for by air rifle folk? Not having a dig, just wondering? Just that certain members could post pretty much anything and get a stack of s.p points, whereas if an 'outsider' posts something it will usually be over looked??? If opened to the rest of the forum you would get a lot more entries and a broader choice, leading to more competition and ultimatly a higher quality end result.
  3. I feel lucky . . . . anything from 30 yrds each way, and upwards obviously. . . .
  4. arrrrrrh avast. . . .shiver me timbers lad.
  5. Caught many fish on hares ears mate. When i can't figure out what they are feeding on, or there is not much about fly wise, it's a good bet.

  8. Other than being a whippet . . . . . . But aye, too true about the fecking breaking! never had any problems with the laguna breaking that i lamped all those rabbits with. and ive lamped on the same ground as my big dog. even the small whippets had been impresive with there lack of injurys. The one's I've seen have all gotten injuries, mostly little tears that on a whippet peel like a orange due to there lyrca like skin. Not saying they're shit because I know they ain't just wouldn't be my choice and the thing that would deter me from getting one is they wouldn't suit where I r

  10. I know what you are saying mate, and some folk make out like they will break themselves in open fields etc and whilst that may be untrue. . . . . . . . the combination of a small, short haired, thin skinned dog, where the skin is so tightly wrapped about pretty much just muscle and bone, and a very high prey drive can lead to problems . . .

  12. All that jazz about 'they are laguna in name only'. . . . . . only in so much as is true with any line, i.e it morphs, twists and needs out crosses and new blood brought in. I have a 'laguna' dog here and cannot fault him, although i mainly use him daytime. Massive heart, huge prey drive and great stamina etc, very strong. I'd say there are better lamp dogs. But probably not much better 'lines' of whippet. If i was looking for a Laguna whippet i'd either go to MB or speak to Mally on here (never met the second but his dogs speak volumes). Most of them are like peas in a pod
