  2. Nice pup mate Hope it works out for you
  3. You not tried local butcher mate? The one by me will happily give me a sack of bones etc each week.
  4. It's quite funny 1000 printed, and i wonder how many of those were bought for re-sale? Maybe half? Mr Darcy prints a book to be read by folk, and half the copies are sat in people attics, waiting to go on ebay at a later date in order to make £££, quite strange. I wonder how many are actually being enjoyed by people.
  5. As it says, a big Happy Birthday to Johnnyboy68 (and his missus) Enjoy yourself big man!
  6. Is it just me whos fecking bored of hearing about how whin sees the world?
  7. I'm not sure i agree with you Moll. Granted, my lad is worked in all weathers, on some pretty rough terrian, and asked to face some harsh cover and obstacles, and he never backs down. But if he collides with something sharp, or just bounces off / over barbed wire, he usually walks away with some nasty skin tears, in the last 12 months, he has had four trips to the vets to be sewn back together. He is however i total nut job. I think some dogs are just like that, regardless of the breed. I have a big lurcher dog (breeding unknown) he just needed to look at something sharp and his ski
  8. Mate he's being serious thats me and my dog on the pic.........I do a lot of squirreling with the ferts, not all ferrets will do them though. I ferret the holes but climb the trees and poke the dreys and my mate shoots them with the 177. Once had 7 out of that tree in the pic. Need to get a pic of you up a tree playing at being zoro, with the tree rats

  10. Well . . . . they are 'grandchildren' to poley I'm going to being one of them round next time and just drop into the conversation about how they are going to get the chop if i cant find them a home. . . . .
  11. Laughed so hard a little bit of wee came out
  12. Yeh mate Caitlin is a star, not many 13 year old girls around who's idea of a good day out is ferreting. At least I know what she's getting for crimbo, wellies, chaps and "her own" ferret. I happen to know of a couple of sandy hobs looking for a good home Aye I got a lovely jill here already...........palming your ferts off on me don't you think I've got enough. I got more Seriously though, you want a hob?
  13. Malc mate, good to hear from you, hope all is well. We need to have a day out together soon!

  15. It was one of those funny days mate, where things don't really go to plan but it's a good day anyway, and there are some class moments. Was nice to find that second bunny in the stop end, and enjoyed seeing finn make a proper run in the open, rather than half seeing it through thick woodland. Fingers crossed about Luna, you are right, it would be a real shame Still no idea how she did it Yes, Catelyn is a great kid, and always welcome You are right, she's had a head start on poor tom and is sharp, and it could really demasculate (sp) him to see a wee girl in a pink coat and white
  16. Picked up johnnyboy and his step daughter catleyn (sp?) before first light and were on our way to our first bit of ground of the day as the sun was making a weak appearance. Today, Finn was back in action, although pretty unfit, and it was the turn of my big sandy hob bear, and the wee silver jilly tilly to have a hunt. With Gem and Luna and a couple of Johns jills, Poley and Sky, the team was complete. The first farm we stopped at was the same as last week, as we fancied having a bit of a mooch around the flat open fields, and hedgerows, and have a look a long an over grown wide ditch. Th
  17. Well done mate. Not being funny, and it could just be the photo, but that bull x looks fecking terrible in the one photo, looks like it needs a good worming and a few decent feeds!
  18. I hope he ain't like Finn lately he'll take him ferreting and he'll do himself a mischief and be in sick bay again. No mate 12 months is ok.........at least being laid up he ain't learnt no bad habits. ] To be honest mate, i did type, then delete, something a long the lines of, i'd be less worried about the time off with two broken legs, and more worried that he will make it a hat trick within his first season.
  19. To be honest mate, if you have spent all this time when she has been confined etc, getting a good bond with her and making her responsive, getting good recall etc, then you are half way there. She will probably take to the rest like a natural after a bit of exposure, 12 months isn't that old really. I wouldn't worry about it.
  20. Well you are the collie man, then you would have three collie blooded dogs hahaha its awe gid banter lads, thumbs
