Off peak two singles are often cheaper than a return. . . no idea why, but its so. That wouldn't work..........how could they tell you hadn't already bought the ticket and used it. They stamp them (ticket inspector), or have gates at the big stations.

Yes mate, no doubt, but i just think that 'big man' was maybe a little bit too forceful in his actions, it could have been sorted out a little less violently maybe? If you knew you'd bought a ticket would you not look for it before shouting your innocence.........it was found in his bag at home, why couldn't he find it on the train. He dosen't want the guy charged either apparentley..........touch of guilt maybe. Would you have said, ok sir, well i did actually buy a ticket, but there seems to have been some mix up, so i will just toddle a long now and jump off the train, sorry for the hassle??? How was the kid actually abusive? Oh yer, he said the 'f-word' - oh no mamy, dont let me hear the bad man say the naughty word. If i had bought my ticket and the ticket guy was telling me i was wrong, and the train was going to sit there all day etc, and was trying to incite the other passengers into hassling me, i might f*****g swear as well. Especially if i had had a couple of pints after an exam etc. FFS, it's not like he gave the ticket guy a slap etc. Remember that woman on the bus? I get what you are saying, but how exactly was the kid being abusive? I didn't hear him call anyone anything, or threaten anyone? All i heard was him punctuate his sentences with the word 'f*****g' as in 'I f*****g have paid', which is pretty standard, especially in Scotland. So did the kid have the right ticket in his bag or not? Aye, so he dodged the fair, and he swore a bit, he didnt however, get voilent, or lay a finger on the ticket inspector. So what right does some big, (probably rich) c**t, have to grab him physiclly shove him to the ground, the throw him face first onto the platform. Aye, the kid was a bit of a twat (IF he didnt have the ticket), but the 'big man', was just a f*****g bully. WOuld he have done the same if the person in question had been anywhere near his own size, age etc???? NO.

A lot of folk who just lamp, don't know shit about field craft. As most folk have said, keeping the wind on your face, using the lie of the land to not cast shadows, skyline yourself etc (if there is a moon), looking at the ground and not marching through the boggy bits making noise like a bloody elephant, using the hedges etc in order to break up your out line etc etc. Making as little noise as possible. One of the biggest things though, is knowing the land and the quarry, and being able to second guess what it's going to do, where it's going to run, and even before you get into the f

I'm not wanting to start an argument, but i'm not sure you have seen any decent whippets if you think they are 'pussys' or 'weedy'. I admit, they don't have the best skin / jacket. But my experiance of them is that they have a far bigger heart and far more grit than their size would suggest. The biiggest problem i have with mine is too high prey drive. They certainly don't seen to take into account their own size when chucking themselves at bigger quarry.
