  1. What a special needs post. "would the anti in yas stop yas" That's right, anyone who doesn't cull hard is an anti.
  2. I know exactly what your saying but it was done through a mutual friend of theirs who now wishes they hadn't vouched for him and feels the same Aye, it is always going to end in tears isn't it I mean, don't get me wrong i respect 6packs desire to go out of her way to help someone out, but to be fair i'd be wondering why the bloke couldnt find a single person that they actually know who would look after the dog, or in fact just got it sorted to take him? These sort of things always end up a nightmare.
  3. Cheers bud, it's the Bogatynia area where I go, literally 5 min drive from Czech republic and 10 min drive from Germany. I'll be there with the dog for the whole of August and September while the uni is off, so it'll be sun bathing for the first month and hunting for the second month, Where abouts are you going? PM me if you want? PS. bears???? you're feckin jesting????? Sounds good mate. I know the area a bit. I used to live (briefly) in czech, and my missus currently lives in Germany. Also have various friends (and missus family) dotted about Poland. I don't have any firm
  4. Right, Mushroom is obviously in the wrong. However - how could anyone really think it was a good idea to take in someone elses dog, who they have never met, but know vaguely through a forum, whilst he emigrated to another country? How could you not see that it was going to lead to super hassle?????

  6. It is a bit weird. A load of middle class white folk pretending to be black slaves and singing about the 'plantations'. . . . in cornwall. Just a bit odd really.
  7. If you have a cockatoo, he has a cockathree!
  8. Ironic really that we have reached this point on this post. "at leat whin has done it on the big stage in public you got along way to go and maybe never get there, plenty nearly men aboot" 1- At what point did you start talking about yourself in the 3rd person? 2- How long will it take you to realise that not everyone desires to reach your level as a 'super poacher', and that's actually ok, and doesnt make them lesser men in any way. 3 - Honestly - the more you write, the more of a tit you sound. I'm not sure if i have ever met a man with such an self obsessed feeling on his ow
  9. Very much enjoyed that read mate. It's a great part of the world and some awesome game. When i lived in slovakia (polish border - high tatras) the deer population was mental. Huge numbers, everywhere. Lots of fox, the odd hare, no bunnies, some boar, a few bears and wolves and some mountain goats. When you out there next with the dog and which part ish? I might be in Poland in the summer / september myself (Missus is part polish).
  10. It's MENTAL. I thought it was meant to be about the daylight hours? What's going on? I have a load of waaaaay too closely related ferrets in together, 5 jills and 5 hobs. So i need to really keep on top of it, or end up with 3 eyed ferrets
  11. Great read that mate, cheers for sharing
  12. My old mam used to say, "it's not always what you say, but how you say it"
  13. JB - we decided to look at the edge of the maize and the gully on that farm, then a quick mooch about the horse paddocks next door. You are right about the time delay thing. I'll stick you on my back next week if i have to mate! TS - To be fair to them they are great lads, and it's a pleasure to teach them. But i heard the one ask the other 'do you think he will let me come again'
  14. To be honest mate, i would say a good lurcher to lurcher bred dog, out of two dogs that are doing that kind of work to a high standard would be what you want. I would suggest a good dash of collie, because to be honest they have the right mind set for ferreting, they have a lot of patience, and they pick it all up very well. They have been by far the best ferreting dogs i have known. Also you could take such a dog lamping and also it would learn to mark holes. My whippet can. I think its always best to just look for a very good working bred litter, that leans towards what you need
  15. Hey i'm getting bad press here I'm not shouting in a nasty way, just in an instructional manner. I can't help that i happen to swear a lot I'll tell you what though, that lad will jump on the next rabbit he sees like a tramp on chips
  16. I failed to put the number as Ive been given a beating on its not a numbers game for some mebers but 49 was the total togay ATB Cookie Give it a rest mate That post yesterday WAS NOT aimed at you in anyway. People are interested, and happy, to learn / know how many bunnies you are catching, good for you, you have done well The issue was with looking down on / taking the piss out of / belittleing folk who catch less etc. Like i said mate, well done Looks like a very good day, especially if as you say the farm was dead last season, you must have a large resident rabbit
  17. Me an johnny have hunted them across the mountains like the Klu Klux Klan matey.
  18. I mate, i was waiting for lee to pipe up It was pretty much a run through of what happened with her last time we were out mate, me standing there shouting at someone while they watch a well netted bunny de-net itself The thing is, i don't mind them escaping, i dont get payed per rabbit, and i kill enough to have way more than i need. I can live with rabbits getting out of missed holes, or puttiing them out for the dogs and running them and missing. What i hate is, them escaping when they have already been caught, and felt the net on their backs. Cos that's not down to the bunny b
  19. I'll tell ye now, the teaching them lads have had has been flawless Simple as, the lad didnt want to get bit. But after the abuse (in a jovial fashion) that he got, next time a bunny jumps up near him, he will belly flop on it if he has to! The dig was just unlucky. And the last rabbit missed, well, to be fair to the lads i should have said something about the net, but i thought i would let them get on with it, and hoped the dog would kill it before it got to cover. And malc - you know me mate, i tried to track the litter fecker down, but couldnt find him, you know what i'm l
  20. Well done mate, and a great write up as usual. I'd love a good mooch on that ground mate, looks like a lot of fun to work the dogs over
  21. 'no stupit questions' Thing is though, some folk might end up advertising them on there cos they dont know anyone. I mean, i could breed a great litter of dogs here, to keep a pup myself and a pup for a mate, but simple fact is im a sad f**k with no mates, so would be left with the rest of the pups and no homes for them . . . . . . (i still wouldnt advertise them on a site like that though).
