  1. Thanks for the reply mate, that is a lot of the kind of land that i hunt, where a short, sharp dash is needed, but also the ruggedness, to be able to make such a dash, over shitty ground, and take the odd knock that this entails. It would be predominantly say work, but also i was hoping that the splash of collie, would give that bit more stamina, for a long nights lamping. My lad, isn't too small, about 21.5, so im hoping if i could find the right bitch, i could get a pup that would level out around the 23 " or so mark.
  2. Don't suppose you have any photos mate? I'm not a hare man, so i figured, that quarter grey, would give the dog that bit more top end speed, than my whippet, or at least balance out, what is lost by adding the quarter collie. And the collie would give me a bit more bidability, thicker skin / jacket and a little more durability.
  3. Out of interest, has anyone owned a dog that was bred out of a half x collie / greyhound bitch, lined by a pure whippet? Just wondering on how they threw, what kind of size, and all the usual questions? I'm asking, as i am considering breeding from my lad, in a couple of years, if he continues to develop and improve as he is, an this, i think, may be the way i would go?
  4. All birds done! Now time for a bacon and quail egg sandwich and then bed!

  5. Cheers for all of the advice etc guys! I just wanted to tell you that i have had three Glouchester Old Spots on my land for a couple of weeks now and it's going good so far
  6. All inside the pens. I think Mr tastic might just be our winner Only other possibilities are owl and gos hawk. Definatly not foxes or ground vermin.
  7. If folk want to play guessing games here are a few different kills i found today (i know what some are, but its just interesting to here peoples ideas and thoughts). 1 - Pile of feathers and only head left, neatly severed, body gone. 2 - Body left, head gone, not plucked out. 3 - Poult dead, chest plucked out and flesh ripped into on chest. 4 - Bird pretty much totally eaten, wings, legs and spine left. 5 - Just dead up against the wire, 2 pouts very close to each other, other wise healthy looking. 6 - Pile of feathers, no body or body parts at all.

It's sad, you see the fashion change to certain animals, that really shouldnt be kept on their own in a house, it's like meercats, the poor feckers.
  10. I agree with what's been said. But just out of interestr, how come when anyone ever mention rabbits, in any context, most folk always suggest a beddy x whippet? Now, ive seen a couple of half decent ones and a real good one, but if they were that head and shoulders above the rest, they would be all over the shop, and its interesting that most folk who suggest them, dont have them themselves. Also, where do all the working beddys get hidden that these are bred from???
  11. Birds came in today. At least it was dry!

  12. No it's arron I am in no way buying that someone is REALLy like this? Imagine what his life is like, if is is this hard work on here? I reckon it's lab on a wind up.
  13. Now come one, whos really minshaw man. . . . . is he mark brick?
  14. Give it few decades and Minshaw man will be another whin. My favourite bit is that, if him and his mates have not heard of you, you must be a computer hunter He just needs to calm the feck down.
  15. What's worrying is he HAS read the whole thread. . . . .but has been too busy offering matches, fights, and defending his mums honour.
  16. Origionally, surely most folk were poachers, as the laws prohibited any common man (ground game laws etc) from hunting, or in one case, owning a running dog (hence creation of the lurcher), obviously there were a minority of organised criminals, etc. The biggest issue we face was that the ban managed to attract a huge flood of bell ends to all forms of dog work, it's a sad fact that there are a f**k ton of proper scum that now have working dogs, just because they like killing stuff, its illegal, they think it makes them look hard etc. Obviously when these kind of folk get the chance, t
  17. Come on. If you can't see the issue with 'teaching' folk, and when doing so, shouting, swearing etc (including down the holes), whilst ferreting . . . . . . Like i said, i got no issue with the bloke himself, it's good hes trying to teach people, and i couldnt give a feck about his size, or the way he looks. You don't have to work a loneorbe 'silent like a cat', just use a little fieldcraft. That doesnt stop you having fun.
  18. It's just the noise that gets me. Couldnt give a feck if he was big, small, or whatever.
  19. It's just depressing when folk like that have permission.
  20. cum to ma door and say that I'm not cumming anywhere near you, your Ma on the other hand . . . . .
  21. Mollie is the only one that springs to mind.
  22. pretty much yeah! i didnt really want it i wanted a bitch pup out of it, n the dogs away working n all perhaps mybe happy even who knows? but let me ask ya this did it get hurt in any way ? At least your honest about it,that would make you either shallow and greedy or a total tard,i don,t for one minute believe you are shallow and greedy.Good luck with the next mutt, poor F***er. lmao no harm done really tho? Passing about dogs like computer games. . . . . i can see a few problems for the dog. And you bred a pup out of it, after getting it off gum tree? And particular reason you tho
