    I don't go to church. I don't believe in god but this is a Christian country, whether you subscribe to that idea or not. I never mentioned Islam. I don't want any more of our traditions eroded away whatever the reason. WHY is this a christian country? Because 60% of the people who live here are and we were here first. Are they? Or are most of those folk just box tickers who do so out of 'fear' etc. Are you really telling me that 60% of the population in the U.K structure their lives around the bible and christianity?     No one said that. But I think to call it 'hunting' is a bit of a stretch. It gets the job done, and if thats what floats your boat then I guess its fun. But hunting. . . . . . . ?

    There is a difference between hunting and dispatching something. NV is a very good tool for pest control. But in a lot of cases, you couldn't exactly describe it as a hunt. . . . just my opinion of course.

    Glad you've had a good season lads. Had a shitty one here as far as my dogs go. Got off to a blinding start, with both the old dog and young bitch running well. The young un was really impressing me. And then both took themselves out. I think he's retired although I've promised him one more good night out and one more morning run. Fingers crossed the bitch is I think, starting to come right. Will be a long old road to fitness though. On the upside I've seen some great dogs work that are owned by friends and had some very good days and nights out and we're still eating plenty of good meat s

    And then there's sambar deer over here that are as smart as anything, run down the hill quicker than a red, twice the size, twice the stamina, but once tripped even the biggest of stags will lay down and squeak like an elk bugling with just a single 28 inch dog on the throat. And on a flat or up hill they're as fast as a fox. I can't see anything taking down and holding down a Red Deer on its own let alone a Sambar...... Still happens though.

    I seriously doubt we will make Syria safe for the Syrians. We will probably massively destabilise it (more so), and ultimately create a lot more terrorists. The number of people killed internationally through terrorism seems to rise as a direct result of our military involvement in many countries. We are a dab hand at removing one group or leader and leaving a void to be filled by someone much worse! If we were bombing Assad then I would agree with you, but we are not.
