That's a good bit of information Pete i alway's wondered what them split ring plier's looked like..and too be honest you may well know this is my first year ringing young chick's and after the last batch of goldies i done i am getting pretty confident now...i just hope the lesser Redpoll's don't throw a spanner in the works of my confidence..

This is the only draught proofing my bird's got last winter and as you can see they is no shed in sight to insulate..aslong as they have somewhere to get out of the wind and rain they will be fine..and if you can remember we had a cold winter with tempreture's dropping below -7 at times and i never lost one bird to the cold..and if the wind does get too bad the netting can be doubled or even trebled..and for this winter to stop the driving north easterly wind's blowing snow and rain into my aviary i will be putting 8ft x 4ft sheet's of clear perspex half way down from the top and along the ful

It might sound weird but i have never had a proper look at one in the wild..the only one i have seen have been flying away showing me there white rump..

They has been problem's for a while..the one's i have had have been dusted under the carpet..the shite will hit the fan sooner or later.. ..leave well alone me think's..if it's not broke don't fix it..

It's goldie's i want. ..and here is one hen red factor sat ontop of a little irish fancy hen and a good fledged chck from this year..and dont sweat matey they are in a open flight aivary that i will be making bigger soon enough..

I am pretty certain i wont be selling any. its not mules i will be looking for mate, i will be after bullies and goldies. I'm converting that whelping pen into a 10 x 4 flight Well Paul i may well be able to help you out.. .. if my luck keep's running this way.. ..i have two good generous people to return a favour too first..and after that you can have any unrung bird's for free..they will all be totaly legit and if the need arises the DNA samples will match any legal bird i have here aswell as my breeding record's..any rung hen's will be held back for my future breeding projec

If the mules will be caged properly in suitable cages Paul i will probably give them away and no matter how much they are worth i would rather cull them than see them go in carry sized cage for the rest of there misserable life.. ..and i won't breed any more after this year..as they are infertile and worthless to me..

The little irish fancy has hatched 3 Goldie Mule chick's upto now out of 5 egg's yesterday or today.. ..i'm over the moon for this little hen as she has been sat tight on several clutches of infertile egg's for monthes now.. ..i just wish they would slow down now as i have chick's coming out of my ear's.. ..

To be honest fireman i don't have a clue which way they went on and i don't care.. ..they are on and that's all that matter's to me.. ..and the way i look at it..it's no real hardship turning the bird left or right while holding it to look at the ring.. .. Stig It's far to fiddley and delicate with these small chick's to worry about a minor problem like that IMO..i have done plenty of pigeon's in my younger year's and it nothing compared do doing these delicate little thing's..

I once offered a farmer £100 to fly my hawk on his land at bunnies...he was well upto it but on checking the land they was very few bunnies so i sacked the idea..as far as paying to do pest controll with dog's and ferret's..no chance i would rather pack in if i had to pay for that..
