I'm mainly on 10.

To be honest, it's sometimes good to scare the public! The couple of ramblers I scared by popping out of a hedge the other day were quite shocked and put out until I explained the difference between Trespass (them) and invited (me). I always camo up, not army wannabe, hill billy nut job style, just an old, oversized DPM boiler suit, a Jack Pyke net balaclava and a boony hat, total cost about £30.00. The proof of success comes when you are sitting in the open grass at dusk and a fox comes and plants itself 12' away to try and do the same thing you are! That wouldn't happen in a pair of j

hw recoiless springer ?
silentshot1 replied to venomviper's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Impressive stuff but I'd scratch that to buggery in an hour! Creepy gloves though. -
I've stirred a mars bar in to a half jar of peanut butter and then spread it on a bit of wood, yo8u can check they are eating by the gnaw and feet marks.

Bill's said pretty much what I was thinking but a couple of idea's off the top of my head but you will need insurance... - Any cards in the shop advertising for new syndicate members? If so take the numbers and call them. - Ask anyone buying a shotgun (if you sell them) in the shop where they shoot... could be a local farmer or game keeper, or indeed know someone.. - There's a Flour mill in Nottingham (smith's) Do they have a problem with ferals? The one down here does. - Stables (a quick google search produced a dozen near Nottingham) - Golf Courses - Hue Fearnley Wit

I really love my S410 for mooching with, it's a great gun that has always delivered. That said, I love my HW77 and d get a lot more satisfaction from shooting with it than the s410. If it didn't require so much movement and take me so long to reload, I doubt I would have ever gone PCP.

Hi mate Bad luck on that, but that's just sometimes the way! I'm stealing Bill's Para cord idea! So simple yet never crossed my mind.

Cracking show mate, thinking of trading my .22 TDR in for a .177.

Your treachery has been noted and your name added to the 'The list'. Mine will most probably be on there as well by the end of the year! -
THEIF... You clearly stole my thunder mate! I was about to have the same rant about my evening yesterday! Found a lovely new spot on the farm with a warren ripe for bashing, set up 30 meters away from it with the fence to an old MoD storage dump providing cover behind me. I have never had the chance to empty a 10 shot mag on one warren before but managed last night and nothing, zip, zilch, a big fat zero to show for it! I have not seen that many rabbits appear from one warren in 5 months! Hey ho.... Just another reason to have another go this evening after rezeroing some what!

i took the AAS410K out today, after getting it back.
silentshot1 replied to davyt63's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Luckily I only have a .22 with a mag! Otherwise I would have done that by now! Davy, I got the red filter through this morning. Is it heat retardant? I will fit it over a cardboard ring otherwise to stop it melting as the night searcher lamp heats up to quite a temperature! I can imagine how f%$ked off you must have been at first. If it helps, you could always send the .22 to me. That way you'll never find yourself doing that again! Anything to help! Cheers James -
Good going mate! You have a contractual obligation to rid the course of pests, I wouldn't worry about size to much. As my Father in Law says, at this time of year they're either breeding or planning on it!

Hi Mate I've got a HW77k .177 with a venom Muzzle Break so it's about as long as the full length version. To be honest, it's a bit ungainly at first if you're used to smaller guns, but once you get used to it, it's an absolute dream. The balancing and weight give you excellent target hold, coupled with PCP accuracy. I have found the transition to a lighter PCP more difficult than expected due to not having the weight to aid aiming and still use HW77 for longer range static bunny bashing. I've never had any nasty near misses with the breech so wouldn't be able to comment and the gu

S200 or Ultra Multi?
silentshot1 replied to johnboy19's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Good choice mate! What are you going to put on top? -
Bit of a Brucey Bonus! Just went to the Blue Cross centre to introduce 'Her Majesty' to a 7 month old, part gun trained Black Lab that I saw and now she's so hooked on him that she has demanded I go shooting so she can make preparations for the possible arrival! Have cake, am eating! Davy, the weather's cleared in sunny Hants, so should start to dry over Slough area pretty soon! Time to go give some bunnies an Easter present!

type of pellets
silentshot1 replied to farmerkev09's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I got some hollow points in 177 for my HW77 and was amazed by how inaccurate they were! In the end I reverted back to accupels as figured that hitting something accurately and dropping it was far better than having more punch in the delivery and missing or maiming. Was to concerned about injuring to try them on live quarry! Could have just been the pellets in my barrel but I'd rather have consistent accuracy. That said, I might try them again but in 22 in my s410 after watching Alex's vid. -
Falcon lighthunter-BSA Ultra multi ???
silentshot1 replied to Sweeney-Todd's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi Mate Without wanting to steer you off course to much, Davy and Sib are right IMO. I tried the ultra out and found the cocking system annoying. My S410 .22 TDR is all that the Ultra promises and more. I use it now as my main gun and most of the time I am shooting from woodland, hides or Pill Boxes, couldn't be more suited for any of them. The other good point about TDR's is that they have little wood work to knock, scrape or catch in confined spaces or woodland. My HW77 stock is less than 6 months old and looks worse than the one I replaced it with! I don't know much about the -
I've got a night searcher gun light which is hideously over powerd for my needs but a gift from a generous better half. Does anyone have a DIY filter idea as the rabbits on my shoot are used to the dark and very lamp shy! The light gets very hot due to the power. Was going to put a sweet rapper over my mag light and use that until I was reminded of the generosity displayed in the giving of the night searcher. Will buy a filter if necessary but having seen how many budding Blue Peter presenters there are on here, thought I would ask first. Thanks for any ideas. James

Brilliant stuff mate! I was out at 05.30 but blanked on the bunny front, had a couple of pigeons from another permission, but not quite the same as your day!

air arms s410 tdr
silentshot1 replied to aaronpigeonplucker's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi APP I have an S410 TDR .22 and love it. It's a great gun, the only down side is shot count but at 40, it's enough! -
What's everyone think about a Cometa 300

If it works for you and is in good shape, £70 is a bargain!
