    I doubt it as centerfire copper bullets are not hugely more expensive than lead jacketed, probably be double or something similar.

    They are just copper coated, rather than copper jacketed like a proper bullet, so in essence they are lead, so they would be no use where lead was banned, in the same way that, copper coated lead shotgun pellets are not permitted where none toxic shot should be used in the UK, I personally think they are a gimmick, and dont forget you will get a build up of copper in the bore, as with a cf rifle, pure copper bullets are available to re-loaders, and are meant to be very effective, so perhaps we will see pure copper airgun pellets being produced in the future.

    I like eating them too mate, but in this case these are destined for food for Grendel, my redtail hawk, and the pigeon is in the ferret cage as we speak I do however have some recently harvested squirrel jointed up in the freezer, going to try and get out on the bunnies this week, so am thinking a rabbit/squirrel stew is on the cards.

    So come Sunday, finally got to take the new .177 lynx out for a proper go after checking zero quickly on the farm track, I drove down to the farm, what a lovely day, the sun was shining, birds singing, and just a hint of wild garlic wafting up from the wood behind a house at the bottom of the track, the trip was delayed slightly, as I was engaged in conversation with the farmers wife, for about twenty minutes (why do they always appear when all you want to do is shoot lol?)     Always worth checking that your moderator is not coming loose (sure you did) might be worth trying another scope first to see if it does it again, before you splash out.

    If you were not so obviously concerned by the affair, I would have been tempted by a sarcy comment like use a .177 next time however I wont, I have shot them through the head with the .22 rimfire producing 100 ftlbs and seen the same thing, I think your idea of despatching it by hand next time is the best one, I always do if possible, strange stuff happens some times, I saw my mate the Seeker, shoot a fox @ 100 yards or perhaps a bit closer with his 6.6x55 Swedish Mauser, a broadside chest shot from a rifle producing some 2000ftlbs the fox ran it took us about half an hour to find it, stuf

In that case we agree 100% and I am glad you CAN see it with your own eyes, but let me say, the English and Scottish have had our differences and tussles over the centuries, but we face a common enemy now, those who seek to destroy the white race, and wipe us off the face of the earth, will not stop at England, that I promise you, its England first, then Scotland and the rest, you might think you are safe up north, but if you only listen to one thing an Englishman has to say, let it be this, IT WILL GET TO YOU I GUARANTEE IT, sooner or later
