    8 Traps down for two nights and nothing ? very large ,deep sets in Sand all well used but it did not look right , I have watched these all Summer and there has been plenty Mammy Rabbits sat at the mouth of the holes chewing the cud and their Nippers running about but they have all gone ? in the past this has been down to Stoats , ferrets or Polecats moving in and you soon pick them up , the same with Mixi a lot die in the holes and Rats move in quick but again you pick them up in traps, the Rabbits are very safe from man at this place so its a mystery for now . Rang a mate up

    I have never seen a Wolf in the Flesh but years ago in Coventry there was a posh shop that sold Animal Skins and on the floor were two Wolves dressed out as Rugs , They were massive and nearly pure White , not my thing in fact I doubt that I could even stand on one but Magnificent all the same .

    Place the trap where there is just enough room for the trap to Fire , do not alter the Floor height unless you are packing it up , make sure that the back of the trap is not going hit the Roof of the tube first , keep the trap as far back as you can . That is the sum of my knowledge on Fenns.

    I thought I would set a couple of traps to start my season off so I went to a local Sand pit what I have been watching all Summer , in August you would see a few running about big and small but today there was nothing ? the setts looked very well used but Dead the lack of Shit gives the game away because if they are there they always Shit and Foul the land if there are plenty you can also smell the Ammonia in their Piss, anyhow I set a couple of holes but I don't think so but it was a nice walk anyway

    That's what it was like back in the day GOOD TRAINERS who knew what to do !No one over complained when Liston rubbed liniment into Clays Eyes much to his very obvious discomfort .

    I use both, Brass is really the best without a doubt for Peg and Fence Snaring but I had a spate of using Steel Wire which is cheap ,effective ,, quick to make and fast to set against it is , you only get one catch and you have to replace the Wire , its too Strong [you may catch and hold something you don't want , you cannot knot it a bend is forever and you have to use a short Tealer to keep the wire stable and adjust the Loop so to me STEEL WIRE as its uses but for Rabbits it is Brass all the way On the US sites a lot of States stipulate what Metal and Noose size can be used f

    I watched the Fury fight and the first round was enough !they are not Boxers just men in Gloves and Shorts , it makes me laugh when the current crop of Heavy weights are compared to Ali Frazier , Forman and others because they are not in the same League and I am sure they would not even have been asked to even Spar with any of the 60/70s greats, Good luck to these Lads getting a few quid and their Managers getting a lot more but remember all the money is coming from Joe Soap AKA the Gullible Paying Public .

    Woodga's Video and G Waters book are the best inroad to Snaring you can get but you have put the time in , it is very easy to go out and catch nothing and get disheartened but if you stick at it they will come provided you have patience and some idea where you are going wrong , fence Snaring can often be very easy and a good way to knock up a good bag but I think that if you really want to learn the game you have to be out in the Fields where it is a little more challenging and always remember that " The most stupid question is the one that's never asked " You will
