    Yea I get what your saying. Just think if was allowed round here, you'd have little shits taking peoples eye's out. Gobshite down the road had guards round a few months back, for firing airsoft out the bedroom window. And this is a quiet place.

    I would think the Scarteen terrier is simply a line of terriers bred by the hunt. They probably bred, and kept them amongst themselves. So instead of attaching the name of a breeder to the line, they attached the name of the hunt.

    Now, a clever man would take that idea and make a product with the same concept. There be one hanging in every house in the country.

    I boil them in water and breadsoda mix for about a half hour. Then a quick scrub with a wire brush. Once dried i use Rustolium mat black on them. It holds up well, even on the river bank.

    Just cleaning up a bunch a traps, as I do around this time every year. Realised that I have this Fenn about ten years now, and it looks in very good nick with feck all rust to be seen. I give them a clean, and I spray paint them every year, or every other year, depending on how bad they are. I personally think it's worth it.

    Ok, So what are we talking about here? Is it simply just mooching, and whatever the dogs get on, they hunt? Not knocking it, can't see how a certain breed can make much of a difference to that task.

    I honestly dont get it. Your dogs are chasing fox through cover, and then to ground. How are you not loosing dogs every other week?
