    Yes I'm afraid any truths will be lost within the huge amount of crap story's reguarding big cats. Its easy to see that the vast majority of sightings etc, are total rubbish, but im not convinced that its all just fairy story's.

    Here is an email i got from my mate today regarding the story behind the Aldrich trap, and how it got on the STAO. He gave me permission to share it on here, and so here you go His name was Quentin Rose. He was a friend of mine. Became so after I read an article by / about him in The Field magazine. Obviously, it had a Black Panther on the cover. I had a massive train journey ahead of me ... This was pushing fifteen years ago.     I will put up a post in a while My mate relayed the details to me a couple of years ago, and i just want to confirm a few things with him to stay true to the truth. Greyman, i don't think this is something that will help you in your quest, but maybe it will show that things have and do get covered up by the powers that be. As far as I'm concerned, it would be foolish to believe that they wouldn't cover shit up. What ya dont know, wont hurt.

    Im no cat expert, but i do know a little about traps and trapping. Ask a trapper what traps are more proficient, cage traps, or foot hold traps, and he will say foothold every time. Yes cage traps are used in parts of the US, but thats in states that don't allow foot holds. You say they use cages because escapees are used to the mesh. I'd sat less cautious maybe, but still cautious. I dont think hunger is a major issue. Drop a pet moggie into the sticks, and he wont starve. My pal knows the story behind the Aldrich. How it got on the STAO. Who used it, and what he captured.

    His writings aint much different than that story book, The Bible. Just substituting aliens for God. O and Gods own sky pilots do a bit of probing of their own. Funny thing is, there's more chance of aliens being real, but strangely enough far more believe in the whole God theory.

    Was thinking the very same. You see, us fieldsports enthusiasts (well some of us lol) would know these things. A huge proportion of those into finding Big Cats, will simply come to the conclusion that it had to be a cat that done it. Someone mentioned "why would it kill one of its own out in the open?" Who said it was killed by the badger that fed off it.

    Where's all the evidence of big cats at airports/army bases then? Must be lots of good footage from airports. Just because it sounds plausible, doesnt make it fact. Some of these people really are dreamers, and do no favours for those who are genuinely seeking the truth.

    I agree somewhat, but they are actively seeking these birds. Pics of moving cats are a split second thing. Saying that, you would think in all these years there would be at least one clear piece of footage.

    Hmmm? but lads is there not a piece of governmental legislation that was quickly drafted in, in the not to distant past, that gives a clue to there being something out there , not native to the UK. No official explanation as to why its there that i know of, or for what reason, but its there for all to see.
