I agree but there are plenty of people who are utterly clueless and some of them in good jobs. I think we need to look at funding of all political parties, those that pay the most get to push their agenda including unions and people who have huge business interests. I would prefer that after they reach a certain size they are funded by the public purse and get the same amount or a sliding scale or something like that, not paid it much thought but I don't like the system as it stands.

You must have signed up to something and ticked the box to receive emails from the Labour party at some point, or are you a member of an affiliated union? They don't just send emails to random addresses. All political parties are funded by donations, how else do you think they pay for campaigns? The difference between Labour and the other big parties is that the majority of their funds come from membership fees and small donations from ordinary people instead of big business and millionaires. For the conservatives this is a great idea, they will get a much bigger majority and also have a 4 year parliament spanning 2 years either side of Brexit so they can do what ever they plan. I would like to see UKIP finally pull their fingers out and create a patriotic and nationalist working man's party and kill off Labour, the SNP and the Limp Dems but I don't think it will happen....more likely the Conservatives will end up with virtually no oposition. Anyone got any ideas what might happen to the SNP?

Twitter has filters to stop any hashtags relating to Le Pen from showing up on the trending bar, there was a big push a week ago to get it trending it was getting more tweets per hour than just about anything else and wouldn't show up. It's worrying when giant corporations team together to do this, it also shows who the good guys are. we saw all the bias in the news during the Brexit referendum, then with Trump and they're just doubling down now with Le Pen. Hopefully their will blow up in their faces.

Well the time is upon us once again for some more crazy politics Populism continues across Europe & Le Pen is set to win the first round of the elections, she has a massive lead in the young vote over her rivals which means that her base will continue to grow if she doesn't win. The more I think about it the more it really looks like we're in a gigantic mess and it all started with the financial crisis which started in 2008 and still hasn't ended. The US has 21 trillion in debt but is by far the strongest economy most likely to survive and can chose what it gets involved in. The Chinese are sitting on a bubble of debt which is probably going to explode at some point not to mention their economy is based on exports in a world of stagnation. Yes I am not saying it should be entirely banned, I don't like it and therefore I can make the choice. The problem is that they're making schools and other institutes buy it which starts to sound a little more like a 'racket' to me. Pandering to minorities will only work to their detriment because people get p**sed off seeing it every time they open the newspapers. I think that causing a division is what these vocal 'spokespersons' want though, it is a form of insurgency and a way to divide the group from the boarder population so they can then act as a spokesperson for them.
