I also think that it is important to realise that the sentiment that got Trump elected isn't going away any time soon, call it popularism, nationalism or whatever but it is on the rise. It wasn't traditional conservative values that got many people out to vote for him. Depending on your demographic it's probably a flip of a coin. I think the biggest upset from his supporters is the fact he bypassed congressional approval. His detractors fear another lengthy engagement in the middle east. As I stated in an earlier post this has McMaster's no nonsense approach written all over it. He was very clear on his policy, he was extremely clear on Syria and being non interventionist so yeh he needs to act in the interests of the people who voted for him. If they wanted more war they would have voted for HRC, he should focus on what got him elected, if the Republicans are going to block everything he is wasting him time.

This has been a very reliable website & I think it may get some information from Russian intelligence, either that or people who have a lot of knowledge on events. I wouldn't worry about a large scale conflict, money rules the world these days not ideology.. A full on war would be bad for business..It depends. If you keep cutting one small strand off a rope every week then it might take time but eventually that rope will break. Embarrass a leader enough times and they will react to save face and not look like a pushover. Where you park your fleet will even be seen as a threat from now on. I don't really disagree with most of what you say but pandering to (or trying to hook) nationalist sentiments is opening a sort of Pandora's box and they've not going to to accept 50% or even 90% they want the whole thing, this is the difference between a very large amount of Trumps voters compared to Obama's.
