  1. Operation Epsom was the start of the British push on Caen that happened a few weeks later. The fighting around that part of Normandy was ferocious and interesting to read about since all we ever hear about are the Americans on Utah especially in films. The American Generals slagged off Monty for not being fast enough but the British army were fighting against highly experienced SS troops and tank crews some of which were equipped with Tiger tanks plus the 88mm AA guns which were so effective. There were three operations Epsom, Charnwood and Jupiter I think, and they paved the way for
  2. Sorry had to do that Those young lads had balls of steel running off those landing craft, it must have been absolutely terrifying. The US rangers climbed the cliffs at Pont Du Hoc using ropes and ladders while the Germans fired on them and threw grenades down from the cliffs. An unbelievable feat
  3. Gulf States refusing to allow anything Qatari related to dock at their ports. This has really come out of the blue I don't think anyone would have seen this coming. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-06-06/gulf-states-launch-naval-blockade-qatar

I'll sell the hankies it's a bit late to get in on the red/white/blue lights for illuminating buildings if we could muster up a few THL musicians I recon a re release of don't look back in anger, maybe a candle and an armband with each copy we should be sitting pretty by Christmas Fabulous! Who ever said terrorism was a bad thing? We've never had so much fun with our vigils and music concerts If we're going to spend the next hundred years being blown up, shot and stabbed every week then we should make the best of it
  8. Worth a read if you are interested in the Qatar story http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-06-06/forget-terrorism-real-reason-behind-qatar-crisis-natural-gas https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2017-06-06/saudi-arabia-s-feud-with-qatar-has-22-year-history-rooted-in-gas

  11. In Manchester there have been cases of dog meat found and even carcases discovered in freezers!
  12. On Twitter Donald Trump has called out Qatar for funding terrorism "During my recent trip to the Middle East I stated that there can no longer be funding of Radical Ideology. Leaders pointed to Qatar - look!" "So good to see the Saudi Arabia visit with the King and 50 countries already paying off. They said they would take a hard line on funding extremism, and all reference was pointing to Qatar. Perhaps this will be the beginning of the end to the horror of terrorism!"

    Cars

I used to have one of these, without a doubt the most amazing car I have driven, it was heavy as hell (no power steering!) and drove like a rocket, it was in mint condition but like a d*ck I ragged it and blew the head gaskets.
  14. I have some Brie or toast...or brie and toast Birdseye chillies are brill but the missus bought them for my Thai steamed sea bass recipe, I can eat them raw but most people can't especially not my parents who had come down to visit...of course the old man had to have some when I told him they might be a bit much especially as I couldn't be arsed removing the seeds....that was quite funny lol

It does mate. It's overkill to be honest. More torque than the Mrs! You can never have to much Do you have any idea what it does in a straight line 0-60? My P38 will do it in 10 seconds which is pretty impressive for a 2 tonne car but it's not going to come close on torque to that beast

Ha ha Chris That's a nice looking truck you've got there it must have some serious torque
  17. We're talking Anglo-Indian here, the vindaloo you can order in the curry houses was designed to be the hottest curry on the menu, it really doesn't have much to do with Goan dish at all. I think you go to the lower class places for drunk people Just kidding, at the places I've been which aren't many I do generally ask because I like very hot food and I've usually been told Jalfrezi or some special thing they've developed. You should try the one I make it will blow your socks off lol
  18. Jesus christ it's considered to a treat for us lol
  19. You can get them here, I assume you probably know but http://www.turnerrichards.co.uk/dog-training-dvds/
  20. We found a couple of good ones here, I like the chips to be a tad crispy and I hate soggy chips, we drive quite far for ours even though we've got a chippy in the village lol
  21. Traditionally Vindaloo was a Portuguese/Goan dish of Pork marinaded in wine and garlic
  22. It might the the case that some curry houses have bastardized the Vindaloo now and changed it to live up to it's reputation but a Vindaloo was not originally supposed to blow your head off. A proper Jalfrezi on the other hand will have lots of whole chillis in there. One of the best places I've eaten a curry back in Manc the Jalfrezi was by far the hottest meal they sold p.s if you cook your own it doesn't matter the name you could turn a Korma is to something that will melt your face off lol
