i thought you had all those things on the rigs? In the North Sea you do nowadays, I worked mostly in North Africa and the Middle East, only in the last couple of years did things get a bit more civilized. We got 5 minutes a week on the satellite phone to call home at that was it. I'm sure most places get internet now even in the desert since satellite internet is better. Allegedly Military advisors (including NATO) were captured in Aleppo. I believe there probably were foreign military advisors but I'm not sure how true this report is, I would imagine their safe passage would have been negotiated days or weeks ago and I'm not sure if they would really release names.
