Just read the above bit at the end of the day i can buy a pup from two outstanding workers and never work it but breed stating its working lines blah blah so because it parents were well known does that mean this pup and the diluted blood down from it is the same and also does it mean both exceptional parents were sired bye two likewise sire and dams or even had to be ?

Bottom line is the dogs are no better than the next whippet what makes them special ? buy a pup from show stock it will catch rabbits as will open class racing stock the dogs in my own view are extremely over rated as i always say for the simple task of rabbiting any line of whippet WILL catch aslong as the person training it isnt the usual twat lamping with 6 month old pups. She eats like a bloody pig so its all good i just let her eat what she wants with the weather being like that she is outside now nice thick coat and seems a hardy we bitch recon she will be spot on. She wont be of the leash much for about 4 months yet as she goes a bit to hard for her own good. Dont think anyone with half a brain will post pictures of any type of dog catching ilegal quarry in the current climate !! Any dog will take a hare in the correct situation seen a pure colie do it regularly and have owned nuemerous whippets more than able a good one will run it correctly and wont matter whether it can run in circles for 2 hours ...

For starters at 13 months my whippets are just entering to quarry secondly depending on what intentions for the pups and who's dog your covering 9 out of 10 people i know who stud dogs always cover a mates dog free and i mean FREE whether the bitch dont take or has ten pups the point in the mating is to prove the dog once he is proven as a stud you can stud him for price of a pup or stud fee. He looks identicle shape to my pedds and decievingly small looking for 23" nice looking dog although would need a hell of alot of weight of to suit my needs in the feild or on the track. Am not to fussy about her size to be fair as i need something with a higher line of vision than my peds and for the odd run at the track.

She is sharp as a razor a bit to sharp her right eye (left on pik) has suffered a few days of swelling after she miss judged an opening in the gate and hit it full tilt she is a strong wee pup though so all will be well. I was actualy meant to measure her tonight for whip x grey and forgot but i thing she must easy be 15" but ill measure her when i walk them in the morning her dam was a very large greyhound around 28" so expecting her to make anything from 22"-24" doubt she will make any more as her sire is 22" and 3/4 whip so on experience i would be surprised if she got much bigger than 23".

A mate of mine runs a halfx bitch 17" tidy wee thing keen and bidable [bANNED TEXT] powerhouse of a wee dog catches rabbits but lacks in chases with any length to them like the look of her and would have her but my whippets run all over the top of her and he wouldnt have to worry about her coursing a hare as in reality she wouldnt get near a half fit one. Not a fan of most of his line although seen one or two on here worth kennel space agree they do the job but most lines do as well as a whippet can be expected if everyone in the working world buys there dogs from mike at what stage will people realise they need to use other lines as outcrosses for obvious reasons i cant be jeared getting into a debate fact is his dogs are proven to throw capable working dogs but as i have said anyone else on here with one from other lines will agree they are all capable of catching. Agree here high percentage of collie in that dog anyone with any experience in lurchers should spot this from a mile away. Obviously been didled there and if thats racy i wouldnt like to see something you regards as heavy .

Didnt mean to offend you or suggest that you didnt socialise your dog was just stating that 9 out of 10 dogs with these type of problems have them due to this exact reason. The way you describe her will be unlikely to change due to her being speyed but its your dog your decision as above you could give her the jag which will mean she wont come on the break and if you give her it for a prolonged period theres a very good chance she wont be able to come into season in later life... if the bottom line is you cant guarantee she wont get caught and you have other dogs then maybe you should speye he

personaly i would never spey or neuter any dog of mine. Every dog i have seen that has been speyed has been very over weight and less ballsy i used to go with a girl with a pitbull and a staffy both got speyed and within 6 months they had lost there muscular build and doubled in weight and she fed them less than i feed my whippets. I would also say the way she is acting could be based on lack of socialisation as a puo have you had her since she was young ? i always take my pups to markets and bootsales gets them used to alot of people being around good learning curve for a pup imo. Agree with the above the bitch cant have done much with the weather this and the season before although the way the weather is its not like youl get much work for her the now anyway. I would think about it i have waited till mine were 3 minimum with mine one bitch wasnt the same afterwords where as my other seems to have a bit more go about her and is alot more full on than before i took a litter from her its upto the individual but under no circumstances would i line a bitch under 2 years old most are still maturing up until and some breeds even at this age.

She has his shape coat and face already recon she wont be quite as big as iv been thinking but soon see she is bloody sharp on her feet i never have her in the house long as she starts trying to twist her way round and between 2 tables and 6 chairs the wee brat she does listen well and knows her name so all is well for her age i havent any doubts about her the way she is going and she is jumping a bit too well for her age ill get some more piks over the weekend when i get some more time with her .
