Spot on arctic gun ! every junky and thief in the country have a season pass to the dam courts and are all well known bye judge's the sick part is these people get away with all they do even though the judge knows it and as you say people like us out walking a dog staying out of trouble and helping a farmer control the distruction of his lively hood wee get bent over a fence and shafted. There will come a time though in years to come that the duty lawyers etc will become as seasoned to these types of offences and the bottom line is people are not going to stop something they have been brought -

Depends in the type of dog imo... For instace i have owned whippets from show work and racing lines and all have caught rabbits well enough to be worth keeping if i was happy just rabbiting. When it comes to match capable coursing dogs or the hardest working bull type then obviously you aint going to go for a flashy looking saluki thats only ever worked in a show ring and you sure aint gonna use a ned's look at me am ard staffy. If the ingredients are there imo the parents dont need to be tested aslong as there from a strain that has what you are looking for then the rest is up to you and

The beddy x whippet is 18" so an inch shorter but about 3 lb heavyer she aint mine belongs a mate of mine she couldnt stay with that wee bitch in a month of sundays. The wee bitch is handy though marking well already holds rabbits in the net and is taking them on the beem and from cover so considering she has only realy seen day lite in the last 2 months she is doing well. He is going to use a bwra whippet to her simply to add speed i may try a bitch from the mating to see how they turn out as the dog he intends on using should make all the difference. Out for a mooch this afternoon been bringing on my mates halfx beddy whippet she is almost 3 but was lay in a kennel almost all her life till he got her a few months back. Also had my old terrier and my black whippet bitch 19" about 22 and a half lb the now and a touch heavy but her weights up and down . Anyway quite a nice fogy day mooched one of our golf course's round a quarry missed a few bunnies close to the hedge rows so will be back out in the morning with the ferrets in tow . The bitch is bedd/whippet x bed/whippet and her dam works above and bellow so am i picking this up correct your working a whippet x beddy lurcher to ground ? Or is the dam a pure bedlington just confused at the above statement .

Only ever had the problem once with my whippets and it was when one of my bitchs was heavy and unfit once i took a bit weight of her she silenced again. Would also try not to run him with another dog as that in my opinion will just cause more yapping as like was stated the older more seasoned dog will get in first and could cause more frustration . Should ease up with a couple of easy catch's mate . I know a lad with a handy wee bitch she works the lamp spot on but daytime bolters she is best left in the van cause she screems her tits of the whole time and wont go in while another dogs on the

A handfull of rice in his meals will dry up the craps i personaly wouldnt stick to tripe as a running dogs diet i dont feel it gives them all they need i would mix a good quality mixer even a greyhound meal with some cooked dog mince from a butcher usualy around 40-60p a bag and to that i would ad some tinned sardines once a week an egg a couple of days hand full of rice on every other or third day this is how i always feed my larger dogs as they tend to need a bit more i only feed my terriers and whippets meat though unless they are lay up or or in pup i would put them on the above diet.

Dog should be given to someone who is going to at least walk it every day obviously a bit work all be it a little would be even better but if i knew someone who had a dog chained and was left without excersise or any effort id remove the dog myself. I know plenty lads around here virtualy the same dogs quite capable left to lay in pish and s*it for weeks at a time. I call the lads and invite them to have a walk out as a bit company now and then is nice for my self and the dogs to get told nah cant be ersed was lamping the er night n gawn out again at the weekend wtf ... Up this neck of the woods we call it the jag slang for injection lol I a know what you mean mine only come on the break once a year and its in the summer so its not a hastle but when i was involved in the greyhounds a bit more they all jagged there 6 month bitchs. Im the samew wouldnt breed mine if i didnt intend keeping one back either and if mine were never of the break id just jab one for a season then rotate

Money for xmas ... Hope thats a joke ! If she is 2 weeks in mate 14 days she should be running clear buy now . Above remarks spot on if she is a 6 month break and thats causing a problem and you dont intend breeding her in future i would go get her the jag pal means she wont break down meaning you get a chance to work her thats how the greyhound men do it . Although alot are against it and it can cause trouble later as some dont come back in heat if on the jag for prolonged periods of time. Didnt realise who it was when i replyed earlyer and hadnt realised you posted on them as i dont go back past the first few pages on running dog section. Was only getting verbal due to the fact i get stick on here for nout i dont do anyone any harm nor have i bumped anyone nor infact sold anything to anyone since you got the pup from me which was actualy bred by a friend from my stud and a dog i had owned. are you fcuking thick ... you know so much about me you would know i have 3 kc whippet bitches and 3 kennel run systems so if i were to buy a lurcher dog in its to much fafing about when my bitche's come on the break because i do not want unwanted pups so do you fcuking research you twat. I also find a bitch is more bidable and easyer to train from alot of experience and just dont feel the need to have a male dog working in my pack. Without paperwork ? there lucky to sell for £100 for a dog and £150 here without kc papers and to be fair the dogs free to good home how hard is it to bell the lass and find out if its a dog or bitch. People baffle me if i were after a dog i wouldnt have been asking its sex as for working purposes it wouldnt make a difference.

Collie whippet or pure whippet i had a whippet bitch when i was 12 caught hundreds of rabbits and long ears were also a regular occurance was devistated when i lost her always had a whippet in my kennel since that day. Yould get something sorted for him im sure. kris
