  1. well now this is only my opinion, but i think that with the right % of greyhound or whippet a bull cross can put up a good as show as any other breed of lurcher at all quarry!! i gave away my bull cross bitch because she didnt do foxes but i rated her highly at everything else i done with her!!! maybe i'm just easily pleased
  2. nice to see you still have big ozzy mate.. he is a 1st cross wheaten/whippet isnt he?? have you ever thought about breeding him back to a whippet or greyhound???
  3. this is my supposedly 3/4grey 1/4 wheaten!! i seen the dam and thought she was a strong lookin article that maybe needed and extra gear... are 1st crosses usually heavy like that in general??? when he started he threw yaps a wee bit on the turns but to be honest i couldnt ever see the trouble with a yapping dog!!! i hear people complain that it scares away quarry but surely a million cp lamp beaming back and fourth around the field is bound to do the same???
  4. nice job mate, lovely lookin wee dog as well... but i cant beleive i've read 4 pages of shit about how to hold a dog lol... edited to say, did i read a post about a fox and mental anguish??? sounds like bunny hugger talk to me!!!
  5. i thought it was something that i'm really glad i saw!! and usually i couldnt give a toss... ps, anyone got kates sisters number??? phoaaaarrr!!!!
  6. shame theres no pics... try gumtree.com as well mate!!! i dunno if gumtree is big over there but its very popular here!
  7. hi mate, i've been watchin your posts about your bedlingtons and i have no experience with the breed but i'm really impressed... is the bedlington thread you used to post on still running?? i havent been on much but i must do a search for it again!!! i cant understand why no one has commented on that pup of yours, he looks class!!!
  8. i'd like to see paul win it but a bettin man wuld put his money on khan... i think the only thing paul has on his side is that he's an awkward south paw with a punch but its not much use against an oponent you cant catch.... i think khan in round 5 or 6!!
  9. funny you should say that mate because i came across this image on one of the sites about brian nuttall http://belfast.gumtree.com/belfast/29/74180529.html
  10. now that is def a lovely pup mate!!! is he out of good diggin stuff??
  11. and the best one they made they never put out!!
  12. ahhh so it was him that bred rambo... i seen the dog workin on dvd!! i wasnt overly impressed to be honest!!
  13. like i always say, its by far the best dvd about... there was one made by lurchermania but it wasnt released and i dont know why??? i seen a clip of it once and it looked the business, the top gun soundtrack was def a winner!!!
  14. any other members get a pup from that litter???
  15. aye, thats them mate... she was hunting and catchin pheasants by the time she was 4 months believe it or not!!
  16. cheers lads, if any one else got a pup from that litter then i'd love to see them!!!
  17. does anyone know if fence hopper still comes on here??? i promised him i'd let him know how i was gettin on with the pup i got off him!!! maybe someone has an email address for him so i can mail pics to him!! couldn't be more pleased with her... i was kind of hopin he was goin to put his old dog to that greyhound bitch for a 3/4grey 1/4 beddy!!! def be interested in one of those pups because the wee bitch has done nearly everything well so far but another gear would be ideal!!! i havent tried her on fox yet because its still early days but i have great sport from her
  18. i totally agree with you mate... if i get a pup in, i train it and rear it for the sheer pleasure of doing so!! not because i want to bring it on and then see how much money i can get from it at a later date!! its sport, not a business!!
  19. dont know if this will work but you'll find him on this site, he runs it! http://irishhunting.myfreeforum.org/
  20. i've taken on a couple of greyhound bitches for lampin, to be honest, chances are you will get it and it will be reared like a farmer rears cattle... no name or any sort of training! so alot of work needs to go into them and your temper will be tested to the full! recalling a greyhound that doesnt want to come back whilst out lampin is a nightmare! this may not be everyones ideal method but i invested in a canicalm collar and i got results in lightning quick time!! once recalling was achieved everything else fell into place! the running style of them is usually straight line bolt of lightning
  21. ground looks a bit baked for this time of the year!!
  22. ack thats a shame mate, i gave away a 3/8 bull 5/8 greyhound that was already workin but needed a bit of bringin on... she would have suited you really well, very obedient and carried everything!!! i had the advert on here for a long time but then i went to gumtree.com and it was away within 5 mins... the lad that got her is really pleased with her!! go on to gumtree mate and have a look theres quite a few bull lurchers and pups on there!! http://belfast.gumtree.com/cgi-bin/list_postings.pl?search_terms=bull+lurcher&search_location=Belfast&ubercat=1&search_description=on
