  1. Hi, I have been out all week experimenting with a set of bands i have designed and made and thought i would share my exploits with you lot!! Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3PhjxTyad8&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4_EoOWBXjI And pics of some shots that made it through my catchbox My maximum reading off cam with the lead was 292fps which is around the 26ft/lb mark John-boy
  2. I will sometimes cut and leave to dry (cover cut ends with epoxy before leaving to dry to prevent checking), but i find that microwaving them dries them well enough for finishing!!
  3. Theres nothing like the sight of a float bobbin about before taking off!! My fav baits would be smelt and lamprey, heres one i caught on smelt!!
  4. Ahh Ross off slingshotforum!! Didn't know you were on here, i have only recently joined. i like them, Cheers!! Have any of you guys had a go at this yet?
  5. Mines a mk2, it has a barrel weight on the end of it!! I will keep using this rifle as there is nout wrong with it, but was thinking of changing the ox spring to a V-mach one!! Anybody give me good news on them??
  6. Simple, just place the theraband over the fork tips and bind with small strips of theraband or other elastic. The tips of a milbro are nicely rounded so abrasion isn't a problem! Here is a video of joerg sprave using a lucky 7 with squares and flatbands, look closely at the way he has rigged his up!!
  7. When i was 15 i used mine with a simmons 4 x 32 scope and took rabbits out to 35m max, but now that its a bit more powerful and equipped with better optics i think i will be able to test this rifles full potential!! John-boy

  9. In Northern Ireland every airgun regardless of power output is classed as a firearm so therefore it is on a FAC.
  10. As title, my da bought me a .22 BSA superstar secondhand 8 years ago when i was 15 and shot everything from rats to rabbits with it (under his supervision of course )!! But then when i turned 17 i got a motorbike and chased after woman and beer i put the gun to one side for 6 years!! But recently i have started gaining interest in it again now that i have a woman and drank my fair share of beer :alcoholic: so i treated it to a new set of optics in the shape of a sabre airgunner 3-9 X 42 AOIR scope, then decided it could do with a little more take down power so stripped it down and fit
  11. A "big ole pike plug" to me is 12+" in length, not really a good lure for trout, whereas a small plug like a 2-3" rapala or big S would be more suited. Or try a mepps spinner they always produce the goods for me!! is there any particular breed of rapala, there are that many of them on the market its hard to know which does what niall_b73 Team Esko brown trout pattern (it imatates small fry really well) but be warned i have had large pike on this lure in the past!!
