    If its a first cross shouldn't be smooth coated got a nine week old first cross her siblings from previous litters r making 18 to 19 tts so I'm told will be using her for allround hunting

    Don't get me wrong not going hammer n tongs with her just casual 4 to5 sit n stay but your only talking 2 yards or so she seems a natural retrever to hope it keeps up. She's not had an accident in the house since she was seven weeks old got her at six so touch wood she seems eager to learn so will encourage when nescessary but still mostly play but can learn as she plays

    My new pup beddy x whippet is 9 weeks old now started some light training I e sit stay n fetch she seems eager to learn a bit to enthusiastic at times but that's to be expected what do u expect from a pup from this age onwards we all might pick up on a couple of ideas off each other cheers paul

    Picked my pup up 3 weeks ago first cross beddy whip was two bitches left one looked more to the beddy side n the other more racey whippet side went for the racey one plus it sat with the kids n followed them about the garden the other one was off doing her own thing looked a bit to independant want something to work with me not on there own said that but at six weeks a lot can change

    Nice dog mate just bought a six week old first cross bitch looks similar to yours white stripe down her front n tip of her tail had her two weeks now very inquisitive

    Got a beddy whippet pup only seven weeks old so be next season for her but will be running the same ground as my whippet ran which is a mixture of small fields hedgerows, fells lamp and ferreting and some air rifle work to cheers paul

    since a was about 10 use to go out with me older cousin n uncle then me n me bro bought a merle dog pup for a fiver off some travellers without our parents permission just brought it home and hoped for the best kept it he grew into a big lad had some good hares with him he got stolen at two half years of age had running dogs ever since. 30 now so 20 years and counting dont think i would have any other type of dog
