  1. they can also produce them at 23" as well mate.. On a foot note, i reckon it will be 36lb in weight, and catch 43 rabbits in its 1st season. Be put to fox to early and have jacked by the time its 18mth old.
  2. hiya would love to have a pic of my ferrets on there but i cannot seem to upload it onto the thread ????? can you help me and let me know what i am doing wrong edit the picture and resize it until it's less than 200k
  3. that would be a major disadvantage when ferreting definitely something not right with that ferret though, I'd take it to the vets ASAP.
  4. Does that include postage and do you take paypal ? Oh and any pics mate it's a freezer!!! you think £20 for a freezer might include postage????????????????
  5. I don't know if its just bad pics but that ferret doesn't look well to me, is it alert and lively etc?
  6. I give mine food in the morning and more often than not she won't eat it so I put it back in the fridge and give it to her last thing. She's my first lurcher but she's not like other dogs I've had, if she isn't hungry she won't eat. If she's done a lot of exercise the day before she usually wants 2 meals, if not it's 1.
  7. I would guess that's probably how most ferrets get lost to be honest.
  8. Strange for it to run away from the warren, are you sure you weren't accidently trying to put it down a badger set or something? Both my ferrets were rescue ferrets and my jill was a nightmare when I first got her, took a good 4 or 5 weeks before she got used to me, and I mean she would try everything she could to bite me! But then eventually she trusted me and was fine, and that was the point where I could take her ferreting. You can't take a ferret hunting until it's totally OK with you or it's just going to be a pain in the ass.
  9. Fookin hell, it's Deirdre Barlow!
  10. Not sure what you're saying! seen how much what craps? rabbits??? If your dog craps a lot it's probably the greyhound food? Mine definitely 100% craps less when eating raw than dried food, and I mean a lot less.
  11. Ill be damned if im driving to town to get a packet of wings when I find myself short of meat on that particular day! lol. Im not a hard core raw feeder like that, but it is what I feed, other than the odd day im caught short. I keep a couple of tins of tuna in just in case I do get caught out, either that or a couple of raw eggs....usually have to leave a window open after the raw egss tho
  12. I can't give mine biscuits at all, ever. With her only ever eating raw fresh meat and veg if I gave her biscuits she's more than likely be ill and would probably shit all over the house. Never get stuck for meat cos Tesco is open pretty much all the time.
  13. It’s nice you have had a go with Google but alas the idea is that you find evidence to back up your claims not undermine them. The paper you quote, Influence of Feeding Raw or Extruded Feline Diets on Nutrient Digestibility and Nitrogen Metabolism of African Wildcats (Felis lybica), actually concludes and I quote “Owing to lack of differences, these data indicate that African wildcats can readily utilize a high protein extruded kibble diet, and may be able to replace a commercial raw meat diet.†Personally as a cat is a true carnivore ie obligate, then a complete would need to have virtu
  14. iam a weekend ferreter i go out and if i get a few for family ect and enough to feed the ferts am happy its a day out not life or death for me ,i understand if u do it for a living or just full time for farmers ect u need the best ferrets , i just like being around them and as far as the grandkids are concered there pets as well .i dont think many on here would disagree on your quest for the best but even if u had the best workers in britain they would be lost on me . in truth your arguments only bear out to you and like minded pals ,the rest of us part timers dont realy need a lecture on bree
  15. Lordy....who the hell says lordy???? However the digestive system of the dog works, the bottom line is that most dried food is made up of shite meat and fillers, fact! Raw is better, but needs suplimenting with other things such as raw veg etc. Simple.
  16. I think that's a really good point. Forget the silly ban, or the fact people hunting within the law are still being victimised by police etc. THE issue, is the person down the road who has a ferret as a pet and walks them round the garden instead of taking them ferreting, they are ruining it for everyone! Why shouldn't people be allowed to keep them as pets? What a bizarre post! I couldn't give a monkeys how many people keep them as pets......what else? no one's allowed to keep dogs unless they use them for hunting?
  17. Nice one! well done pal. Does sound a nice cross, get the pics up!
  18. Hey all good eh? Never fed horsemeat - how do they do on it? I'd have a giant slice of that on the bbq for myself
  19. don't let it wind you up pal, have a look at this guys previous posts, they're pretty ridiculous usually and probably made up....I reckon he just puts stuff like this on to wind people up.
  20. I'm no expert on running dogs by any stretch but I doubt a 6 month old pure grey would catch a hare let alone a 6 month old alsation cross!
