  10. The pricier (£150+)hawke scopes don't seem to be so bad though, I've had an sr12 on the pro sport from new and it seems fine and dandy, although it must be said that the recoil on the pro sport is minimal. Cheers, wurz

  19. Yep,an 18"x12" patio slab. Bang in 2 stakes in to the ground, goalpost style and lean the slab against them then bang two more stakes in front to hold it in place. If you want a totally risk free backstop, then put two 12" slabs in front to form sides and another 18"x12" to make a roof as such, so you've basically got an open box that you can put a target in and shoot to your hearts content with pretty much no chance of a ricochet or possibility of a pellet punching through. You can use old scaffold planks too, just cut them to size and do a double layer at the back just to be sure. I prefer

  24. Sodding phone! But I should point oui check it for wear and tear before every trip out, and so far its great. The advantage with it is that the rope's completely silent, no metal bits to tinkle, and its the exact length to be carried but not to get tangled when taking standing shots. That said,i wouldn't use a shop sling for all the reasons above. Cheers, wurz
