  5. spot on bud.......totally agree with that......it's a bit worrying when a bunch of hippies can walk onto the runway....... security there, needs a good kick up the arse....
  6. cheers bud.....that's so true in what you are saying there Gaz, it was a brilliant feeling seeing my first black bear, the thing is Gaz....you know they're there, and when one finally shows itself, it's a memorable moment to keep.

  16. there's a salmon festival running this weekend, it comes around once a year, it's the Chinook salmon run, and top prize is $15,000 first place, when you catch a decent one and weigh it in, it's no longer yours, the event organizers have it, then smoke it on a twenty foot long smoker for you to buy for your dinner, it's a community volunteer run event, live music (does get payed) good atmosphere, and a good turn out,one guy is leading the event with a 53.2lb Chinook salmon, which was huge, he will probably win the whole event with this....
  17. Thank you Tilly, I use a canon 7d mkii but to be perfectly honest it's more about the lens/glass on the end of the camera body... Bit like a rifle scope or binos, the better quality the glass is the more superior the image, a little field craft being able to get close also goes a long long way cheers bud...thanks for that info, and thanks for sharing such brilliant pics.....
  18. that's a decent offer bud.......good on you geeze....

  21. you might be better with a head lamp....(hands free walking the dogs) in which case, go on ebay and look for a suitable one with rechargeable batteries, (the batteries are ultra fire, BRC 18650, 4200mah, 3.7v li-ion) and a cree LED bulb/light, the one i got is high in lumens with flood/spot beam, sorry i can't give you a name on that one, as it doesn't have one and only says LED headlight on the strap, its got a good bright light, and a good distance beam, but if you need a hand torch.....iv'e got a night scout with the 60mm lense, again, flood/spot beam, rechargeable batteries, and a good lon
  22. this is a big one...caught last week.... The Sturgeon Whisperer hooks 600-lb. ‘dinosaur’ in Fraser River Nick McCabe, a 19-year-old fishing guide in Lillooet, B.C., hooked the 10-foot, 600-lb. white sturgeon — known for distinct flattened and pinkish nose said to be caused by an injury years ago. Nick McCabe, 19, was called the Sturgeon Whisperer long before he caught "Pig Nose," a 600-lb. white sturgeon that was reeled in on the Fraser River near Lillooet, B.C., last Monday. (RIVER MONSTER ADVENTURES) Fishing guide Nick McCabe, 19, caught a 10-foot-long, 600-lb. sturgeon i
