Would look good when the water is like a sheet of glass. that would be a superb pic with the water like a sheet of glass bud.....it's still a cracking pic like this tho.....thanks for sharing bud, like..like..like.........i could keep going with the likes on this one mate....cracking photo bud..... thanks for sharing...
  2. well peeps....we made it, we was up at 3am and left at 4.30am....14 hours later we arrived at the ferry terminal west side Vancouver, we only stopped off for half an hour, so it was 13 and a half hours of driving, which went really well, we covered around 1100km in all, emptied the trailer yesterday morning, and dropped it back, off hire in the afternoon, job done... it's hot here at the mo....35-36.....but cooling a bit from tomorrow.....fheewww anyway, i will get settled and keep you posted...
  3. Oh.....ok then....... was you having nightmares.....
  4. cheers lads for the great words.....as usual, i will keep you posted as to what we get up to, photo's etc....i'm really looking forward to being by the sea again.... onwards and upwards....as they say....
  5. we are all packed up, ready to load up into the rented trailer, the oil prices have dropped here in Calgary (Alberta) and as the whole Provence rely's on oil, it's crashed big time......we're in a big recession here with people losing there jobs and houses, no work around at the mo, the experts reckon it could be 3-4 years before it recovers to a booming place again, they also said that houses are around 30% down, and construction is struggling badly...so it's time to move on, we are driving over to Vancouver Island in the early hours tomorrow morning, it's about 10 and a half hours to Vancouv
  6. yes...New Zealander, Josh James, and American Grady Powell...i find that Josh so funny, i bet he's a great laugh....
  7. interesting replies, i had never seen nor heard of it before.....i didn't know if it was a new thing, but it seems a few of you used it a while back, just thought i would ask...as you do,
  8. has anyone ever used the air skinning method to skin there dead animals.....? we was watching a program called duel survival, and this guy found a bike with a co2 bike pump on it, he snared a rabbit/possum thing using the inner brake cable, he then went on to say, that he once used the air skinning method to do his rabbits (when he had a lot to do) he said it made things a lot quicker, basically, what you do is...make a small nick down by it's tail, then insert the nozzle of the pump, and pull the trigger....it blow this rabbit up like a balloon as the skin separated from the meat.....
  9. this is the same company as the one i have....except mine is the night - scout 60mm, i haven't got the handle on mine, but the rest of the kit is the same, they are very good touches, and the rechargeable batteries last a long time in mine.....the thing i like about mine is, it only has the one mode, high, i didn't want the one's with all the other modes, i would imagine the 67mm will give you the edge over mine at 60mm, being that fraction wider, but not by a lot...but very good torches at a realistic price....
  10. personally....i reckon he had some sort of filler implanted into the tattoo, maybe he was trying something different, but what ever it was, his body rejected it.... tattoo's done properly with new needles every time, good ink, and an ultra work space, are never a problem, also the after care is an important part aswell...i'm covered in tattoo's, and iv'e never had an infection.....
  11. i must admit.....i'm a bit sceptical about any company stating, that there touch does a 1000 yards, it might hit a reflective item at that distance, but you couldn't see to that distance.....when you think, 1760 yards is a mile!! also...a wide angle beam is not the best beam for distance either....iv'e got a night scout T60 cree touch (9-10 inch) which you can adjust the spread of the beam, the narrowest bean is the distance bean, i could see a fox at 100-120 yards fairly clear, but any further than that, you would only reckonise it by it's eyes reflecting back, it would be interesting to s
  12. you and me bud.....loved it as a kid, iv'e tried to think of who could do a modern day version of...out of town, but it is hard to image anyone else doing it, because nothing is televised like this any more.....some things live and die with that person,do you think the fisherman...john wilson could do it? that video you posted...i remember it well, just like it was yesterday....... Tilly, the opening scene in Jeremy Wades River Monsters is filmed in his mates shed, john wilson has retired to thailand and makes good money doing fishing tours nowadays,he is looking his age (arent we all)and doe

  14. cheers mate, canmore, banff, are beautiful place to see and visit, especially lake Louise if you ever get to go there, but as you can guess...it's mega bucks to live there....
  15. that's a kind offer bud.....jolly decent of you.........
  16. that's a good one bud......
  17. well done to your son bud.......that's brilliant to see, may his luck continue.....
  18. i use a two wheeled one as you can get a lot of gear in them without upsetting the balance, but if i didn't have to much gear....i would have a single wheeled one, the single wheeled ones maneuver better over uneven ground, but the two wheeled ones are more stable, my one collapses and folds down for easy storage which is great, it's really horses for courses for what suits your needs,
  19. Never heard or seen of this but it seems like my tyoe of program....u doin a copy fella? it was a brilliant program.....basically, this older bloke (Jack Hargreaves) sits in his shed smoking his pipe, talking about hunting/fishing, and shows footage of it, and amongst other things....it's a good watch.thats you now over in Canada alright Lenny, iv'e got the pipe, and the shed.....haven't quite matched his age yet.......
