it does all depend where about's you are, this winter here, in Calgary was -23 with a chill factor of -30+ at times, but up north was a lot colder, the good thing is, the air is a lot thinner and dryer, so it didn't feel as cold as it was, don't get me wrong, if your not prepared then your in for a shock..... but the chill factor did start to freeze my face, yes, canada is a beautiful country, but you have to find the right place that suits you, we've been here in Calgary for the last 15 months, apart from a massive recession and no work in the area, it's not for us, time to up sticks and try

cheers bud, we had a pair of Bald eagles nesting about a mile down the road, with a few lakes either side of us, so i think they used our garden as a resting place........ but we do get hawks and harriers in the garden nearly every day, we've also got peregrine/prairie falcons, merlins, hobbies buzzing around the place, even pelicans come over now and then, we have this black and white garden bird here, the eastern kingbird, it's a brave bird...the other day a swainson hawk flew through the garden with one of them on it's back, picking it on the back of it's head.....to protect it's young....

like you say....it wouldn't be that sporting to shoot them at that range, like others have said, leave them be, they probably belong to someones dovecote,

they can work well for shot guns, if there placed out right, but.....a lot of the times (i would say) the pigeons wouldn't land for long enough to get a shot with an air rifle, most times the magnet draws them in, at the last moment the pigeons are a where of the magnet, and fly off without touching the ground, that's were the shot gun is most effective, i haven't heard of anyone doing it with air rifles (i pursume) for this reason, but you could give it a go and see what happens, if you do, let us know how it goes,

Just watched an story on the news in America. A young lady got married today. Apparently her father was murdered 10 years ago and her family agreed to donate his organs. A recipient received his heart. The daughter found out it was given to a man and she wrote to him and asked if he would consider giving her away at her wedding. She said it would make her day as her father would be there somewhat in body and spirit. He replied and agreed saying it would be an honour and that he would be proud to give her away. It was very emotional for all involved, she said she had the feeling of her d

i saw them box this morning, it weren't all that really, bit of a poor show from our boys, Barnes looked done in after a round, it looked like a hit and hope match,
-
i must admit, i don't like all of the events, but the ones that keep me watching are.....track and field, gymnastics, swimming, diving, the boxing was a bit of a let down, the ones i saw only had three, three minute rounds, and some looked knackered after a round, iv'e seen better scraps in the play ground back at school, i don't watch any of the out door cycling, it bores me to tears, like the tour de france, also bmx, i suppose if it's not your thing, your stuffed for a few weeks....

should have left him to it, the scum bag........mind you...seeing as south Africa is so corrupt, he might, just get that sympathy vote.......nothing would surprise me from that country....
-
totally agree mate.....i don't even know why, the prison governor, even had an investigation, he should have ignored it all together, that scumbag has no rights to anything.....other than a bullet.
-
the cheek of the man......he files a complaint for getting two of his teeth knocked out.......but can't see no problem murdering/slaughtering an innocent person........i hope he gets the rest of his teeth knocked out, the low life scum,
