  1. Signed, lets hope the track stays open. Its a wonderful sport, one which I hope to participate in (not just in the bookies!) but I hope to own a racing greyhound in the future.

    advice needed

www.ebuyer.com have some good towers for pretty much any price range. Have bought stuff from them before they are good. :thumbs-up:
  3. Looks great that does Bet the stinkers will love it in there!
  4. They should be good to work from about 16 weeks on mate. But they are all slightly different. If they've got a strong neck and are fit 16 weeks will be fine
  5. Still available. Can deliver for the cost of petrol if its not too far. Hobs free to good homes
  6. tesco in dumfries is 99.9p
  7. No problem ditch, like I say I just didnt understand what you were meaning and I apologise again for misunderstanding And I know what you mean they are a lot more widespread than I previously thought. Cheers
  8. Ditch, it is indeed from sin city! Im a bit of a closet comic book geek Ive got the books as well  And by the second part of your message Im not sure I understand it, do you mean that you dont believe me? If your not meaning that at all I apologise. But why would I make something like that up? Gibby
  9. Get all 4 neutered/castrated. Then you will have no need for a vasectomised hob to bring the jills out of season. The cost of neutering is cheaper I think anyway so it will probably not cost you any more altogether (correct me if Im wrong). Also, the 2 neutered hobs will have more of a chance of getting on with each other than if one of them was vasectomied rather than desexed Just my 2p worth
  10. Its on 18th and 19th August, you've plenty time left mate http://www.gallowaycountryfair.co.uk/
  11. Free to good home: 2 (possibly 3) Albino hobs from good working parents. Both parents are unrelated but they both belong to me so they can be seen. The kits are 5 weeks old today, ready to leave in about 2-3 weeks I would say. I live in the Dumfries area of SW Scotland. If you have any other questions PM me. I was hoping to put pics up, also wanted to show the people off here who are already having kits pics too but I dropped my rather expensive digicam the other day and broke the screen. Gutted! Cheers, Gibby
  12. I know a woman who has lots of rescue ferrets and ferrets from other sources and has 3 huge courts of them. (Shes having a kit or 2 off me too) Anyway she has a pure polecat, tame as you like, I couldnt believe how tame it was! It came from a wildlife reserve in North Scotland somewhere and had been hand reared. It was a hob and they used him for breeding pure polecats for re-introduction to the wild. After his job was done for a few years he was given to this acquaintance of mine and she had him neutered so he could live with her other hobs and jills. Anyway I will try and get a pic
  13. The jill is still feeding them as far as I can tell, I think she will probably continue to do so for at least the first week or so after them opening there eyes but not positive on that. Each litter/parent is different though. I would also like to hear any replies on when the jill will likely stop feeding the kits.
  14. 4 hobs 5 jills total = 110 hobs 79 jills
  15. Mine are 4 1/2 weeks old and have been munching on whole rabbit carcasses for the past week or so I would say. Even though there eyes are still closed. Not fed them anything but meat and they seem to be doing ok. Not positive about the answers to your other questions though.

    HANGOVER

A protein source before e.g. Meat or egg sandwich or summat, even milk would do. Vitamin Pill before bed and in the morning. Plenty of water before bed and upon wakening. Ive no hangover and I was out last night The only problem I have is a sustained lack of sleep resulting from 3 nights of only a few hours sleep So the question I would like to add to the above is "how do you get by with a lack of sleep"!
  18. In addition to the list above, I think someone mentioned pheasants as well. Just to concur really, I have in the past, in season with permission from the landowner, shot pheasants in the head with an airgun. I dont think an airgun would drop them with a bodyshot, just like it wouldnt drop most things.
  19. Ive got 2 albino hobs left for 30 quid the pair Cheap at half the price! Nah Im just kidding mate there free to a good home! I live in Dumfries SW scotland but my stepdad works nr Carlisle and sometimes Distington so could probably arrange for you to meet him there. They will be ready in 4 weeks. PM me if your interested Gibby
  20. Im really sorry to hear that Hope your jill is ok after it all and fingers crossed for that little kit. He/She will be a very loved wee ferret if she makes it through I can tell. Gibby
  21. My hobs tail looks in awful condition But his diet and everything is as good as ever and hes as livley as ever I think its just the time of year
  22. Not wanting to stir things up but how is a fish tank any different to a hutch if it is as well ventilated and cleaned and is the same dimensions as said hutch? That fish tank could be a further 2 foot longer than what you see in the pic. Dont jump down my throat I wouldnt do it personally but just wondering..
