Well if you like strong flavoured meat you can hang it for a week . But I dont bother as it tastes gamey enough freshly killed.Usually gut and pluck it on the day and cook next day.I t really is a nice tasting bird.

HEAR HEAR and I dont suppose the fat cow got fat on two cheap chickens a week, perhaps less spent on crisps and chocs and kentucky fried thered be more to spend on a decent chook.
-
Richer than me mate, what price do you pay for your kentucky fried chinese chicken.£9.00 I pay for an organic free range chicken and my missus makes 5 yes 5 meals of it.Morals ? I wouldnt call it that you dont need money to have a bit of compassion for a chicken. Good luck to whittingstall and the others. We've known for years how battery chooks are kept over here,I've been in one and to say its like hell is putting it mildly. If you looked into the chinese or taiwanese battery chook set up its more hell than ours and you are happy to pay for one meal of that chicken in your kentucky fried.

Wouldnt say this is an ideal mating. Although neither dog has any faults if you breed them to each other the pups could carry bad traits that are over magnified .Theres a lot been written about it here and there, theres nothing really wrong with it if youre trying to start a certain good strain of dog. Quite a few have done it, although dont fancy such close line breeding myself.Pups would be fine.

has any 1 got a mick browns breeding whippet
squirreltail replied to morgan29's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Yep , got one of Mikes whippets . 4 years old now,off Lord of the Night and Micks Girl. He's a brilliant worker, keen as mustard and very good at his job. He'll go into anything for anything, and usually gets it, from bunnies to the big red ones hes brilliant.Never feels the cold never baulks at anything, hard as iron, indoors soft as a kitten. He eats like a horse, never turned his nose up at anything. If you want a whippet get one of Mikes but dont forget they need training and they need workin. -
Under their feet ? a good whippet searches out and runs to catch and kill and return to hand, never opens up as he s never frustrated.Mike Browns whippets brilliant workers. You have to put a hell of a lot of time into it , a dog will usually return the amount of time you spend with him by hunting well. Not just rabbit although they put on a fair bit of speed.

Must be some reason you dont want to believe the figures theyre puttin out. What would that be??????????????????????????????????????????????? -
Yep youre right there.many households use this spray anti bacteria (wish there was a spray that gotrid of antis)to kill all the germs in the house, how the hell are the kids gonna gain immunity to anything.Theres even a bloody shower gel to kill all the germs on your body , where are we going.Agree also theres definately too much useage of antibiotics the health service spend millions on them, even give them out for colds to shut the patients up even though theres no cure. But even if we dont take them theyre still in the meat we buy against government advice. So of course when we need antibiot

To look at them you wouldnt think it BUT theyre hard as nails and will go on and on working, theyre so keen you have to put a stop on it or theyd work their guts out. They work the thickest brambles and will always know if theres anything in there, they dont lie. They dont get cold and their appetite is legend.Thats mine anyway. He stood without a sound while I stitched up his torn leg. Then when I werent looking he ripped them all out.Brilliant little dogs. to them.

No, lots of mixy ones early in the spring but now the numbers are same as any year, surprising as thought because of the mixy theyd be down. -
Sorry about your dog mate, when you lose one it knocks you for six, if you have that bond with them it takes ages to get over if ever, is it because they cant speak or what, I dont know, good on you for giving her a hell of a great last few months. awful time of year for it,lost a favorite of mine 11 years ago 22nd december, he s down garden, lost others since so have many others on this site, its shite the few years they got for a lifespan.
