  11. Yolks are fine but dogs insides cant digest albumen [egg white] .Only occasionally feed them ,gives a good sheen to the coat. And a pick me up.
  12. Why would anyone cross a jack russell with a whippet? It took donkeys years to perfect the breeding of the whippet adding terrier blood years ago then breeding the short legs out, why bring them in again whats the point? The working whippet is just about perfection just as he is.

Dont blame yourself there a lot of bad and good luck in the world and you just got the bad luck that day.Think of all the good times you had with her, a lot of lads and lasses on this site I expect, like me have had a brilliant dog, a dog that knows what youre thinkin before you say anything,a dog that you bond with the moment you see it, it hits you hard when you lose the brilliant one. Keep your chin up, some say its stupid but it can take years for the sad feelins to fade, they never go completely. Think of all you done for her and how she thou
  15. No it is 10 miles an hour. 30 minutes to go 5 miles 60 minutes to go 10=10 miles an hour.even though youve only done 5 miles in a horse an cart its still 10 miles an hour.
  16. thought about it again. IF it takes 30 minutes to do 5 miles surely thats 5 miles an hour. 60 minutes to do 10 miles surely then 5 miles an hour. what you got a horse an cart??
  17. I dunno but I'd get rid of that car.

Bad luck mate ,yep it is probable he'll run again but I dont envy you the cost incurred.Hope he gets on alright.
  19. If hes hungry he'll eat. as you say dont worry about it, sometimes when you have another dog eating nearby it'll encourage a lazy eater. Have you tried fresh minced meat??
  20. Never had a problem with it, the whippet especially loves it fresh or tinned.never upset them in any way if theres any spare they have it.
  21. Dont get a navara . certainly not an outlaw, if I had to spell the faults out there wouldnt be enough room on the page.
  22. Nice one mate.Is he a whippet cross bull? or what is he crossed with? notice hes showing a bit of long hair on his back.Nice lookin young dog good luck with him
  23. How about a picture? patts are brilliant true little workers good luck with him/her/
  24. As far as I can remember from way back, HMM you leave the guts in and hang it for 10 days, never fancied it myself as its so strong, with the wine and blood and stuff. The saddle is best slow casseroled.
  25. My whippet did exactly the same.I stitched it up but the little beggar pulled them all out dont know if youve got enough skin to pull over it. I covered his with the breathable stuff and it stank to high heaven, so I bathed it with salt water and when I took him out the missus made him a stretchy one legged thing that went over his back and he put his leg through , it worked fine, If you cover it up it goes manky, let him lick it clean. After a week I took him to the vet and he asked if I had a big wallet as he could skin graft it, didnt do anything to it in the end, and the wound shrank day
