I have to say, I completely disagree…..I think keeping their cards in their pocket is to be encouraged. I always start to wobble if you see early cards, wondering if a ref is going to ruin a game by then going absolute letter of the law and throwing cards about all over the show…..let’s not forget if you are going absolute letter of the law then these are decisions that rest on micro seconds and millimetres……and I think in a physical game you just can’t work it in a mechanical way like that, you have to have a bit of sense and a bit of judgement. We was grafting away on a hard job in Croydon one night, going hell for leather as we always did and my old guvnor had got a lad in to make up the numbers…..all he had to do was run the lift up and down, anyway each time we get there he is in his phone f***ing about and generally slowing everything down so my old guvnor grabbed his phone and threw it out of the 10th floor window…..job done ! lol

I can almost guarantee you that the scene we watched on that video don’t happen in Britain circ 1930 to 1970…….. But, not trying to convince you, it’s just an opinion I’ll also add that you could leave a bike or car outside my local train station for month totally unlocked and nobody ever touches it…..just won’t happen……that is what I regard as normal behaviour.

Having experienced two systems, and from what I can make out, I think in the U.K. we should focus less on medication and genetic engineering and actually throw some resources at helping people in the family situation……people caring for relatives who are ASD or sick or disabled get absolute f**k all help worth the name in that country, financially they don’t get enough to feed a canary every week ! As you know, you have all sorts of tests during pregnancy. You also know your own family history, my niece for instance has Down’s syndrome…..of course it flashes across your mind. But no, I don’t think we should play god…..everything happens for a reason, we may not want it too, we may not understand why, but I believe it does. I agree, but I also take the view that what I believe and what works for my situation may be different to what works and is needed in other peoples situation. ASD, like most family issues I suppose, is unique to each person and situation……everyone’s just doing the best they can.

I’m not going to lower this thread and a decent conversation to a level of our normal playground nonsense so I say this with total calm sincerity: I personally think that question (as a wider question, not a personal attack on you) is an outrageous question……I wouldn’t for one second want to “engineer” my boy not to be my boy…..that’s just my opinion.

I take a view of we can all drive ourselves mad with the “why” but it’s unimportant……”why” won’t change any of our situations so imho it’s irrelevant. We just do what you have done, deal with it.
