I’d say being the parent of an ASD child makes you realise all the shoe boxes and tick boxes we are made to fit into from cradle to grave…..these kids just say “I don’t want to do that box because it makes me unhappy and I can’t see the logic in that?” The pain is always a parent or the system trying to force them into one of those boxes (be that through ignorance or necessity)…..it’s like pushing someones head under water mate.

Depends what you class as “bad behaviour”, for lots of these kids autism and it’s related conditions absolutely IS an excuse for “Bad”?? Our doctors dad, who was also a doctor and my old man’s doctor before his son was drummed out the army in WW2 for saying we shouldn’t be fighting Hitler ! lol Old boy used to come round, sit in my front room, drink scotch and letch at my mum ! lol ……..good doctors and proper people of a type we won’t see again.

I’ve just looked it up, the battle of New Cross was 1977 so I’d have still been a little boy. Our doctor stood as the NF candidate for MP in New Cross, my mistake. I remember him telling me in our front room how if you put two skulls on the window ledge he could tell which one belonged to the African and how they was all thick as shit ! Lol He also used to advise patients not to have mixed race children !! f***ing hell, can you imagine that now days !

I’m not worried mate, I know how this ends but I also can see I’m living in a place where the people have a different attitude. True, but as I’ve said all along it’s just different…..Ireland is massively different in its culture and its attitude.
