I get what you are saying mate and you are spot on, apart from a few lone voices in the darkness so to speak, most people don't give a shit about anything other than the next trip to the shopping centre. The place I used to live is going to be completely destroyed with 20 thousand houses and a motorway carved right through the middle and people are saying "well, that's handy I can get to work 15 minutes quicker !"..........I don't get that at all and it's an attitude they apply to their life about everything. What bits wrong?......as far as I can see the phillipino authority's saying "stop dealing drugs or we will iron you out" is perfectly reasonable and gives a clear choice. Maybe the question (then) is not can bull breeds and mastives etc be safely brought into a family situation but rather how many many people would be truly capable of doing it with very minimal risk? My ideas would be, not many.

Do you think there can be a certain amount of hubris about these things sometimes ?........that people are willing to take the risk believing their own abilities can out match nature? I mean let's be honest, nobody buys a lab as a guard dog because it has no history of doing damage to humans......they buy dogs that have the history and capability to seriously hurt and kill other dogs and even in some unfortunate cases humans. I mean a small risk is still a risk and when a child's bedroom lays empty it's all a bit late for the "he has never done that before" speech.

As I said mate, it's only a personal opinion. See, nobody would get a working terrier based on the logic that it can be trained into working well and yet people will happily buy a bull type based on the logic that it can be trained out of doing things serious damage. I don't get that at all and personally it would be a risk too far.

Good discussion boys. King, I don't understand why people would put a strong type of dog in a household environment anyway no matter if they are a cur or very well bred. I know many do and do it successfully but personally I don't understand it. I have shotguns in the house but I wouldn't let the kids play with them if you get my meaning mate.

Is it not that it's a big mess because once again the west has poked it's big f***ing nose in to remove a countries leader they have no business removing and innocents are paying the price. People Like Saddam, Gadaffi and Assad used to put any unrest to bed pretty quickly, yes people died and that's bad but they were not wiping out hospitals and schools and family funerals every day of the week. Watch some if the kids in Syria, I dare anyone to keep a dry eye........anything is better than what those poor little mites are going through every day.

Genetic variations within the species. Same way you're more likely to get skin cancer than someone of African descent. Evolution isn't perfect. It's not survival of the fittest it's survival of the most adaptable. It's the same concept as health conditions in dogs that you can see. Blindness in dalmatians, hip dysplasia in other breeds. Some are more susceptible than others but they're still dogs. So are you saying there are no physical differences between races?......because that plainly isn't true my friend

You can kill a child upto 24 weeks gestation, my pals daughter was Born at 24 weeks !!........she's not a "thing" or an "it"........she is one of the most glorious little things you have ever seen!
