  1. Obama divided the United States himself, he had a chance to say "hey, look I am the most powerful man in the world and I'm black so stop whining and get the f**k on with it.......if I can do it then anyone can" but he didn't ! He actively played things along racial lines in order to maintain a voter base.......yet another politician thinking of self first and country second ! A black man becomes the most powerful man on the planet.........no tearing down of statues required

I watched a couple of those Jeff and Kammy things mate, thought they were really good and they show what an integral part of the community the local GAA clubs are.......if local football clubs could even get a little bit close to the GAA club in terms of facilities and getting in the youngsters then imho you would see an explosion of football talent in this country. As it stands, they don't......they dont battle hard enough for the hearts and minds of young players, they just let the GAA take the piss. I will say this, one thing Ireland gets very right is access to sport in terms of ho

  4. What they were back then my brother was realistic......they were plain thinking enough to see the differences between people and work with them (and yes, exploit them too) but it worked. Now days it's like when you see these fur baby type people letting dogs climb all over the house......after a while, when you tell the mutt to get off the sofa it will growl at you because it's got to thinking its the same as you

I agree mate, modern rules and refereeing have killed the game a bit imho but at semi pro/lower league level there still a bit of fire As for GAA, I watched the Dublin v Mayo games last year and really enjoyed them because that went at each other hammer and tongs......but by and large it's a bit to gentlemanly for me. Still, that said, at least it's not as boring as rugby ! Lol

It's massive here......I just can't find words to describe how massive it is.......every other sport is so far down the list compares to it that's its unbelievable. It's what holds football back here imho, they have some great athletes but but they are all GAA crazy..........every other sporting body doffs it's cap to the GAA. I coach soccer and it's frustrating as f**k because there is some great young talent but you know that they will end up sitting on a bench somewhere as part of a squad of 30 and never getting used because the local GAA club demands they put them first. Person
  7. 2L of petrol in 2 of those Ali fuel bottle will last until the cows come home. I used to fish at least one 24 hour session every week with the odd 3 or 4 day stint in between right through the year. As anybody who knows me will testify I like a cup of tea or 20 and I never got through one of those green 5L fuel cans you buy from the garage a year.
  8. Not always that easy and not always allowed mate.

Well worth the money mate.
  10. Don't use gas would be my advice, if it's get real cold you won't even light it and if you do manage to light it then it will take all bloody night to boil a kettle. I have a couple, one Coleman petrol but also a peak (I think that's the name) multi fuel which will burn petrol, diesel, parrafin or gas.....you just change the jets depending on what you have to hand. It will fit in a coat pocket and is light as a feather. With petrol it will boil a kettle in -5 weather in about 2 minutes. It's the daddy ! Just to add, I have had it over 10 years and it was about £90 when I bought it and
  11. Disgusting isn't it. This is what some sections of the American community are trying to defend, based on provocation. To put this into context they're protesting a decision to remove a statute. It was a decision that was democratically agreed upon, by the people of Charlottesville. The statue wasn't put up in the late 1800's to commemorate the civil war, it was erected in 1924 which was 59 years after the war ended. Commissioned using Klan funding as a monument to white supremacy. This isn't so much erasing the history of the civil war, as certain groups will tell you. It's about removing the

  13. Kanny, I think that sums things up perfectly imho and I also agree with Chris last post. Myself, I'm just enjoying watching the chaos and the insuing bun fight......the wasp nest needed a good poke and by goodness old Donald J is doing it on a global scale.
  14. "You will work in my vineyard for a dinarius, you will also work in my vineyard for a dinarius......." "But we worked longer than the last man you hired....." "Did you not agree to work for a dinarius?.......is it not upto me to choose how I spend my own money?" That reality and common sense and that's all Trump is proposing........can somone point out what's mad about that?
  15. "They tore down the statues, they re wrote the history........." Clever bloke old Orwell
  16. You have two minority groups that both contain a smaller minority of violent activists. Both are trying to make their causes relevant by committing violent actions. Calling out violent left, and violent right isn't new. These people arrange to fight each other and both of them should be dealt with harshly and punitively. All he's demonstrating at this point is that he should be sticking to real estate. I mean does anyone here seriously believe that that girl had to die, and those actions were an appropriate preparation for the inevitable backlash? While I agree with you, that he was probabl
  17. I have said for a while, I think Trump is great.......not because I think he is the most skilled leader or great statesman.......he's great because he is the bitter medicine the world has to take as a result of the utterly mad place it finds itself in. We have all been run by nutters so long that we can't even remember what sane is !!........Trumps a nutter just the same as some one toothed, backwoods genetic reject who thinknof himself as an aryan warrior is a nutter.......but they are the equal and opposite manifestation of what we have now.......they just don't have as good a PR team !
  18. The fact of the matter is you have no idea what people commenting have seen and been through so that's just f***ing nonsense........people just deal with it in different ways and those that choose not to check out and leave 6 little kids wondering the rest of their life why their dad didn't love them enough to stay, have every right to comment on those that do imho

The only thing I found amazing was that somebody in the world thought Chris Evans is worth 2 million sovs a year ?........fair play to him and his people, if they have that type of ability to convince that shit is gold.
  21. What you have to remember with young people mate is that to them, this is all normal.....they have never known anything else except the Britain of today. Most of them are much better educated than their peers, the only thing they don't know is that Britain don't have to be like it is.......but then again, most older people seem to have forgotten that as well.
  22. A proper polite gent every time we have conversed, best of luck to him......hope he is enjoying the sunshine. Only downside is, I will have to listen to Max's made up West Ham bollocks all on my own now !
  23. I think (hope !!) our generation is having a look and saying "fool me once shame on you......."..........a lot of us thought we were doing the right thing, we read the newspapers, watched the TV news etc Now with hindsight we realise that it was and is all bollocks and we have been used.....big time. Hopefully now, at least we know what to look out for.
  24. What evidence is there for that mate?.......in fact what evidence is there that Labour or Tory can sort things out? Not particularly aimed at you, more a general question.
  25. "I'm playing all the right notes........but not necessarily in the right order !!" Simply the best line ever delivered !
