Watched a decent thing called “Task”….. Films, well, they just don’t make decent films anymore….they are all total f***ing shit ! Sat and watched Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy with Gary Oldman again the other day….its a gem in a sea of shit over the last decade or so. I mostly rewatch old films because they don’t make decent stuff now, it’s all AI computer generated or “poor black man/hero black man” absolute junk.

Again, I’ve not watched so I couldn’t even begin to guess at why that may be the case…maybe his manager gets him to play like that ? Declan Rice did nothing but fight fires in Moyes system but has been free to do much more since joining Arsenal….maybe the way England play suits him better and allows him to show the best of himself ?, maybe UCL opponents wouldn’t be as used to him so he gets 5 or 10 more yards of space and freedom ? I genuinely don’t know but I don’t think players at his level can’t be bothered and pick and choose where they want to perform ?

Not really watched him to make a study but if what you describe is true then that’s exactly how you want a player imho. Humble off the pitch, good trainers, grafters, on time, full of encouragement to other lads, pushing other lads by example……then on the pitch an attitude that says “I’m the master of my opposite number, I’ll do what I want when I want because you can’t stop me” Thats exactly how a player should be, again jmho……you want smart players, players who do the right things in the right moments like for instance knowing when to just do a simple 5 yard bounce and move again

I once heard a woman say she was going to vote for a local councillor, who was a senior bloke in a council that had overseen the absolute destruction of the area, because he had once helped find her cat !!…..I f***ing kid you not ! I absolutely agree with that, 100%……and maybe decades ago we had the excuse of not knowing, we don’t have that excuse any more mate. I agree, but as I said a while back, there’s nothing forcing us to keep voting for these people and mandating them. By the way, this isn’t a modern thing, some of us have know this for years…..the first knife that ever got pulled on me was when I was about 10 by guess what ? A gang of spades ! They were beating people to a pulp and robbing the clothes off their back down Lewisham in 1982…..they used to tap on the car window if you was parked up and gesture you to move so they could get a clear look at the stereo to see if it was worth robbing you there and then !! Some of us know exactly what these people are.

Yeah, but you don’t have to travel far for it to be exactly like that do you….. A lad I knew from Antrim had to be armed when he was working in Cape Town…but only for travelling. Im sure there was lovely parts of Cape Town at the time….but it was still Cape Town !
