The guards were spot on with me when I bought my guns over. The only differences between Ireland and the UK for fire arms is that: You have to have a permit for each weapon instead of being able to hold multiple shotguns on one permit. Its a lot more of a palava to get an FAC because you need a lot more paperwork. But, attitudes are generally laid back and most things are an easy, if a bit long winded, process. I sold my rifle in the UK before I moved and I have not bothered to get another because I dont need it and can’t be arsed with the rigmarole of getting one.

I don’t know about them places mate and not trying to turn this into a religious thread but the lakes is one of the only places I have stood in my life and felt a genuine power and presence of something bigger than us........some spots are literally awesome.

Brittonic is the modern name given to the collection of Celtic and Pictish dialects spoken around the isles in those times, before the adoption of common English and back in the annals of time there wasn’t one language, everyone spoke their own version of celtish or Pictish dialects. One thing none of us can be as fluent in as you though is bollocks !

My boys gets the fake London accent bollocks at school all the time. Its as silly as it is childish really, I mean I don’t go to Birmingham and start talking like I got a mouth full of jelly or slap on fake side burns every time I visit Bristol.

Do you think taking the markets out of the city took something away from London mate?.....I do, all those blokes whole life and living had been built on chatting and talking to people and it wasn’t the same when they were gone and all you had were commuters.

I have been all over England and also a fair few places in Ireland, Scotland and Wales and I have got on with people wherever I have been. If you can string a sentence together and are open and friendly and generally not trying to be something you ain’t then you will get along with people. You encounter pricks all over the show, wether it be ignorant or chip on their shoulder types but you can only f**k em off and take them for the idiot they probably are. You can’t beat rural southern England imho closely followed by the lakes and Scotland. Strive to be a nice man and act

The further north you get now days the friendlier people are, old Londoners are also like that but London isn’t England anymore......it’s all f***ing imports or ignorant middle class fuckwits with a shit uni degree and ideas of grandeur ! I make him totally right, his players have been playing at an amazing level, he has promised them the time off and is sticking to his word......that’s why he is the best coach in Europe at the minute. He is managing that team to perfection and to be fair, I think his U23 will be drilled exactly the same as the first team. i personally think it will be really interesting to watch.

I have played there many, many times mate. I know exactly what you are saying mate, that’s why I looked up a few clubs back room set up’s compared to ours. Honestly mate, our set up is comparable to Sligo Rovers !!......it’s ridiculous ! In fact, Sligo have more and better all weather pitches !......go figure that one? Im boring anyone that can be bothered to listen and saying this is not just the players, this runs much deeper. I think we are in a time when the coach and detail are king and nobody at our club is paying that any attention.......I was saying to

Ahh, I see why you asked me that the other day. As you know, not my cup of tea but I hope it comes off for you because Newcastle are a big club laid low at the moment and a little bit of my footballing soul would like to see a big british club like that doing better. I still have fond memories of the Keegan management era, Ferdinand and Ginola and of course the mighty Alan Shearer etc etc......was great to watch in my playing days.

He took his goals well, always looked like he believed he was going to score when he came on which is what you want from a forward......Shrewsbury were outstanding from what I saw of it.
