When can I move in ? ?

Obviously I have no idea mate but I’m guessing where you live would be classed as “small town America” ? I think when we talk about the Americanisation of Britain it’s more the big urban “LA” nobody gives a f**k about each other stuff that we see portrayed in the TV. I have only seen small town America on the telly so I don’t know how realistic that is but it looks like a place I’d feel at home I always think……you can keep the Disneyland, LA, New York…..I wouldn’t go to them places as a gift.

Me and the boy have lived our lives based on Will Ferrel movies ! Lol We quote them to each other constantly……. Feel a bit queasy on a car journey and mention it ?……the “I’m gonna be sick” scene from Step Brothers gets trotted out…. One of my girls has an interview ?………it’s the “Hello miss lady” Wife lighting a candle ?……..”Don’t let the invisible fire burn my friend” lol We drive everyone in the house mental with that shit ! Lol

Layer Cake is a much over looked film, the cafe scene is one of my all time favourites. Road To Perdition is also one I will watch if it’s on, Newman, epic as ever !

I don’t know anything about this stuff really mate, it’s a layman’s view like most people’s. I just don’t understand why we built them up into this massive dangerous power instead of keeping them poor and selling their massive internal market stuff made by us ? Now we have a problem on our hands, a problem of our own making……just my humble uneducated opinion but if anyone thinks China is just going to be content with super power status and having a nice few quid I think they are badly over estimating china’s benevolent tendencies! China will turn into a massive dangero

Surely if you want to counter the threat of China the safest most sensible way would be to stop buying shit from China and making them rich enough to build themselves into a super power ?……or is that a bit silly ?

To be fair I would have gone literally anywhere but my Mrs pointed out that my command of English isn’t exactly that good so learning a foreign language may have been a bridge too far in the getting sorted in your new home stakes ! I pretty much stuck a pin in a map then and off I went ! Lol ?

My cousin, young girl, suffers like blackout/fit type things (don’t know the exact name)…….she had one on a zebra crossing on Regents Street……people stepped over her mate ! One of a million things that just made me go “f**k this”

You make what I did sound way too noble mate, it was no culmination of a noble quest, it was a decision made on the spare of the moment on a train back from Paris……I kid you not. It was a moment in time when I sat there and thought “Do you know what, I’ve had enough” ! I just didn’t like what I was looking at or where I thought it was heading any more. I think it’s understandable mate, it’s the comfort of the “known”……the “return to normal” (normal !!…..f**k sake ! Lol ) as has been the catchphrase for the last 18 months ! I’m looking at things now and thinking the comfort of the known is going to get thrown out the window and nobody can control it…….a sickness will always right itself and what we have in the world is a sickness.

These conversations are always hard mate because, as I am only too aware, it can very easily come across as preaching when really I’m just talking and discussing this and that, throwing bits and bobs into a conversation out of interest…….I find that stuff useful and fascinating. I believe (maybe naively) that the government was once broadly on your side or at least the side of the nation…..as Paul Weller says “before we all became American” lol Now it’s all “dog f**k dog” and it’s ugly mate……maybe living in the back arse of nowhere has addled my brain and made me go all soft ! Lol
