I dont think anyone underestimates the "freelance" lads at all, I would hazard a guess that actual digging dogs (rather than dogs you can have a dig with) come from such stock. What most of the freelance boys wont have that the employed terrierman will, is access to as much digging.....a friend of mine has over 400 square miles of country in prime digging land and can go for a dig any time he likes on any of it. Thats a lot of work he can show a dog if he wants to. -
Just because "Mogadon" can string a sentence together is no reflection on how well (or badly) educated he is....I have read his comments on another thread and let me tell you, as far as I can see he is just another common or garden tit! Theres more freelance type lads about thats all, not loads of lads who keep a terrier for our own pleasure have to worry about when they are blowing for terriers and want matey out and away double quick because the field is waiting. As I said, in my very uneducated opinion you are talking about two different animals. -
